Dear Admin - We Need a New Gallery

There are many photographers here that feel they would like to have more feedback on their work in order to improve. It is not always the case that a poster has a specific problem with a photo that he/she wants to address. If that were so, the poster could place the photo in the photo analysis section.
This section would be a section where the poster knows he/she can have a honest, respectful back and forth on the merits of the photo he/she posts there. C&C would be welcome on every photo posted. It would be considered bad manners to simply give a "thumbs up" or a "that's nice" to a photo in this section. We would want this to be a gallery where serious photographers would post their serious efforts. By serious efforts, I do not mean that the photos have to meet certain standards. I mean, that the photographer needs to be open to C&C if his/her serious effort needs some work.
Another option we discussed is to have a C&C icon that we can post with our title. This is also a good idea, but I think that separating the serious photography efforts from the social photography gallery would serve the community better.
Here are the people that have indicated they would like a change of some sort, in order to get more out of the forum. They may not all agree on exactly what I have proposed here. I have tried to listen to everyone, and come up with something that we all could benefit from.

Agree---the "Challenge" if it were used correctly, rather than a party line, could be a fine instrument if help were needed. Or Why not set up your own forum?

I am for a New Gallery .. this could help eliminate any confusion for the post and less likely to get your photo buried ..

I like the new gallery idea. In the existing gallery there are so many posts your request for help is pushed down the list and off the front page in a matter of minutes.
