I saw this ad from Costco this morning and it looked like a fairly nice tripod, and reasonable price. Do any of you have any experience with this tripod?

Mr. Perrelli,

I love your art. So simple, capturing the beauty of such a small, yet iconic symbol. I only wish I could "see" things the way you obviously do. Nicely done.

It's lovely Marion.. I agree with Iwanitall - the photo has a real vintage feel to it.

heyrob,

I don't know who wrote the original post - but it's very entertaining and well written. Thanks for giving me a smile.

hlmichel,

Very clever Sir. I would "never" like a photograph like this - "except" for some reason, I can't take my eyes off of it. As with much good art, it is so unexpected. Nicely done (I have no idea how)... Thank you.

Bob,

Thanks for posting this valuable tip (it's the main reason why I visit this site every day). I'm going to try this on my Android.

I asked the representative from Adobe that exact question Searcher.

Adobe's rep told me that this is NOT an introductory price, and they have no intention of raising the price after the first year has expired. He also said that there is NO guarantee that at some point in the future, they might not raise their price (probably true with everything).

The rep from Adobe also confirmed that there are no requirements that a person joining has any previous Adobe products.

Sorry I missed the previous link. -

I've heard that until December 2nd, 2013, Adobe is making their $9.95 per month subscription plan for Photoshop CC and Lightroom available to everyone, not just the people who had previously purchased Photoshop CS3 or newer software.

Here is the Adobe link which you might use to check this out: https://creative.adobe.com/plans/offer/photoshop+lightroom

I can only say that so far, I'm very pleased with this product. (It does require a one year commitment.)

Both are beautifully done, but I also prefer the pose and processing in the top photo. Congratulations.

mbphotos - I take real estate photos occasionally, and have a different option for you to consider. I bought the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 lens for real estate and large group wedding formals. I bought it because it operates very well in low light that is occasionally encountered. So far I'm very pleased with the photographs. I'm attaching a gallery for you to see the results of a typical shoot: http://davinroy.zenfolio.com/p552008097 All of the wall angles were corrected in post production by a single click of the "Auto" lens correction button in Lightroom 5. Very fast workflow (especially if using a preset). So far I'm very pleased with this lens.

These are going used for $500 all over Craigslist and Ebay, and can be picked up new for $575 on Amazon. Tokina also makes a 12-24 mm lens that is an f4 if I'm not mistaken. They go for around $400 new.

Learning that the $9.99 pricing for Photoshop and Lightroom wasn’t a temporary promotion scam, and that I would also be able to load it on my laptop, I decided to move forward. I went to Adobe’s website and learned that my education version of Photoshop CS5 wouldn’t qualify for the deal.

A minute or so later, a window popped up from a technician, asking if he could help me with my purchase. I told him via chat that I wanted to participate in the plan and he said the education versions didn’t qualify for the $9.99 pricing. We chatted back and forth for 20 minutes discussing alternatives. I finally asked him if there was some way to upgrade my education version to the standard version that would qualify. He quoted me a price of $199 just to upgrade.

While I was chatting with him, another window flashed on my screen, with Adobe’s toll free sales number. I put the rep on chat on hold, and called the sales line. The sales rep on the phone heard I had the educational version and wanted to upgrade. She put me on hold for about 90 seconds, and then came back on the line saying that I was qualified for the $9.99 cloud pricing – and signed me up. Moral of story is, try actually talking to someone if you’re trying to get something done.

A GORILLA IN THE ROOM?
by Wayne Allyn Root
(Las Vegas Review-Journal, April, 3 2013)...

I’m just wondering if this was posted as some sort of joke, or if not, that the Wayne Allyn Root who wrote the article posted above (apparently written in April 2013) saying he was a Columbia classmate of Obama in 1983, is the same Wayne Allyn Root who wrote and stated on television in October of 2009 that Obama never attended Columbia.

In 2010 Root also said that Columbia is where Obama learned socialism (which Root continues to claim). I’m also wondering if he’s the same Wayne Allyn Root who in May of 2012 predicted that Obama would lose the presidential election to Mitt Romney in a landslide. I believe in many libertarian ideas and values. In my opinion it only harms the libertarian cause to have people like Wayne Allyn Root saying such obviously preposterous things – that few thinking people would ever believe.
