I needed a way to send my mobile device photos to my PC. I found a site/app called Bump that works with iOS and Droid devices. Currently, I have Google + Instant Upload that automatically sends copies of my photos to the Cloud. I also connect my mobile device the PC via USB and copy files that way.
Here are steps that should work for you to use Bump ...
1. Go to either the Apple App Store or Google Play and install Bump onto your mobile device.
2. Once installed go to
http://bu.mp and open the site in your PC browser
3. Select photos you want copied from your mobile device
4. Now 'bump' the device and the space bar ... the selected photos are now ready to download. Select download and save photos where you save photos.
5. Download and save photos on PC
Note: you will have to follow prompts and allow location info in your browser.

Absolutely cool! Thanks for sharing!
Bob,
Thanks for posting this valuable tip (it's the main reason why I visit this site every day). I'm going to try this on my Android.
Mike
Have you tried Dropbox? It's great!
Hi wtompkins: Yes, DropBox Camera Upload moves mobile device photos to the DropBox folder as well (and all other devices you installed DropBox app on), however, I recall it will use your accounts available storage capacity (free or paid).
Then, as part of Post Processing, you may consider removing those photos from DropBox. Alternately, using Google + Instant Upload, Google allows free unlimited photo storage BUT re-sizes all uploaded photos to 2048x2048 pixels to remain as 'free' (you can select full res if desired, but that uses Google storage assigned to you)

I think I may be missing the point. I can connect my iPhone/iPad (using the charging cable) to my PCs USB port, open Windows Explorer, select the files, copy/cut then paste to the destination on my PC. Is Bump doing something more?
Bump simply allows wirelessly transfer of photos. For a purist ... hard wire or card reader is the way. Bump reviewers/users note to them it is a time saver. Just an option for those that are daring.
