Loved your post, and absolutely loved his layout. I live in N.H. and I am also into model railroading. It looks like he is into G-scale. I on the other hand am into N-scale. (N-scale is 1/160) The problem I am finding, is no-one here is into trains. Anyone can p.m. me and we can chat if you want to.

I believe Howard's layout is HO but not sure. Several friends from when MB Kleins was still had a retail store promised to take me to see the layout but haven't yet. I model in N and now that I am retired have made big strides with my layout. I enjoy building wooden kits and am running out of space to put them. Below is my latest work both the building and the firetruck .

My father came to this country as a boy of 5 escaping the Czar's progroms that had taken the life of a brother. He worked hard to achieve a better life. He said to me when I was very young that "They can take away everything you have but they can never take away your education". I never forgot it and now as an 80 year old I am paying for my two grandson's college. That will be my legacy.

Been to upper Antelope Canyon many years ago and was one of my favorites. Your shot is outstanding. Wish I lived out west and could takes advantage of even seeing these sights let alone photographing.

Our daughter recommended it to us and we finished watching last night. Can only second what has already been written. Really enjoyed it and agree that the ending scene was extremely well done.

So that is what they look like. Very nice. Rained like a son of a gun when I was there and got nothing except wet.

Love the shot. I will use it as an inspiration for a scene on my N scale model railroad.

My first set was a AmericaFlyer Santa Fe. I also remember when we picked up my grandmother at the Penn Station in Baltimore. The steam engines were hugh and terrifiying for a little boy. Later they switched to the GG 1 engines. I rediscovered trains at MB Klein on Gay Street in Baltimore. My Saturday pastime was wandering through the isles looking for hard to
find little treasures. When the store was torn down and they moved to the County it just wasn't the same. This past fall the company - ModeltrainStuff - went all internet and with the pandemic, in store pickup was discontinued. This past month the owner Ted Klein who I had gotten to know on first name basis died. The end of an era. Buying on line is not the same. I knew many of the people who worked there by name and enjoyed talking to them as much as buying. I finally retired and have worked on my N scale layout for the past year and it has kept me sane during the self isolation for COVID.

Consider Service Photo located just north of Baltimore. Ask to see Burke, the owner, who handles all trades. He took all of my Nikon pro gear and gave me a very fair trade in towards a complete Fuji system. But call first due to limited hours because of COVID.

I live in Baltimore area and have delt with Service Photo since the mid 90s. I have both bought new and used and traded with them and can vouch that they are a first class outfit. Good luck in your endeavor.

I have bought and sold from them a number of times with no problems. In fact is just pruchased a lens, did not meet my needs and have returned this am for a full refund. Everything I have bought has been in excellent condition.

Terrific that you should do this. In Philadelphia there was an abandoned bridge structure that had been decorated by graffiti artists. It was part of a Tony Sweet workshop and really outstanding. Sadly it is no more.
