I got my SX 60 today. There is no disc. I wasn't able to open any RAW images also. I found out from Adobe that the SX 60 RAW file is not yet supported by any of the Adobe products, PS, Elements or Lightroom. Called Canon and they directed me to Powershot.com, click on the SX 60 and go to drivers and software, and you can download their Digital Photo Professional that will edit the SX 60 RAW files. Adobe updates the supported cameras about every quarter, so it could be 3 months before the SX 60 is supported in photoshop etc.

I just received my SX60. It never occurred to me that LR or ACR wouldn't be able to recognize a Canon RAW file! I haven't uploaded my shots to computer yet, but am glad to be forewarned. Saves me time and pulling of hair.

I agree 100% with Marcomarks reply. Just replace "waylaid" for "sidetracked" in my vernacular.

DH and I have worked 70 hour work weeks for over 25 years. Now that we are past retirement age, we have that whittled down to 30 or 40 (we love what we do).

For mental survival, I learned a long time ago that setting aside a particular time, be it a day or hours from a day, to be together doing something we love - like photography - trumps a clean house any day.

Having said that, we may wish it were otherwise, but RL responsibilities always come first. That sometimes has us canceling a planned day off, but we reschedule it immediately, avoiding the "sometime next week" non-commitment and the use of the non-committal word "try."

I just returned from a 3 months' "vacation" at our second home. In the final 3 weeks, I committed time to shoot, upload and backup, but had little to no time for PP, my 365 project, or posting to UHH. Knowing my time there was coming to an end, I chose to do other, enjoyable things plus those things that had to be done before leaving. I knew the photos (and UHH) would still be there when I returned to RL.

And, that's what it comes down to for us...DH and I chose our priorities by our responsibilities and importance to us, not what others (i.e., efficiency experts) say we should be doing.

I like your direct, no nonsense approach. I like the organization of your pages, i.e., the menus/sub menus. The verbiage needs some editing for missing/misused/misspelled words and grammar/punctuation, but I'm finicky about those things.

The width is a few pixels too wide for iPad viewing (doesn't auto adjust), which requires some horizontal scrolling, but it is minor. Just mentioning it in case it is of interest to you.

Love it, both photographically and for the beauty of the joyful little girls.

Haven't been out there in years. Didn't realize there were tours. Loved the photos, especially of the lens.

I'd visit B&H, but, since i would be an out-of-state visitor, I wouldn't buy in store. When I order from them online, no tax and no S&H., which is a real savings.

Now, the question is if you can order in store, then have it shipped with the same online benefits?

Have you looked at Serif WebPlus X7? $120 and you can download a free, trial version. I've been using their X5 version for several years and love it. I've used Dreamweaver, as well as other design software, and can do everything I want to do with Serif.

Great photos! Several are SI worthy. I especially loved #12 for the crispness, the safety line streaming out and air the under his feet.n

I like the angle of the shot...exactly as I remember as a child. It brought back the memories of the feel of the handles, the heft of the door as I entered my even then old school. If anything, it shows how we each bring our personal experiences to how we perceive the same photo.

Gorgeous photo! Rainer on a clear day! Wow! I know people who have to go back multiple times to get even a glimpse of the mountain.
