It’s a great lens. Had version 1 but I really love version 2. I have the 150-600 Tamron g2 and seldom use it. I use it mostly on a 5dmk4. Have fun!

I have an axe throwing set up at home. Takes a little practice to consistently stick the axe.

I could probably live with a stand alone version. But it does not update for new gear. As many have said the cost the subscription is nothing compared to the cost of the gear. I’ve had more expensive habits in my lifetime. So for now I will stay with the new LR.

Just taking that same story at lunch. I had a great childhood. Actually still having one. Just got back from vacation where these young kids said to my wife and l “you guys are are still really active” as we outdid them on an obstacle course.

Do you remember 5" floppies, 3" floppies, 8 tracks, etc. your great grandchildren won't be able to view them. The only thing that has survived since the beginning of photography are paper photos in a scrap book. We have a college here that wants either slides or negatives (not digital) for their history of the town... Food for thought. Ron

That hit the nail on head for me . But mostly not much will be looked at as we have no kids . Still enjoy taking pictures and sharing with who ever wants to see. It’s more about going somewhere and taking them than having them . Like I said before they will be nice a memorial. Going to Mexico in the AM to shoot some more and have some fun!

Like many have said “not a big wildlife area” Maybe you could rent the new(smaller) sigma 100-400 and with the cost savings buy one of the newer mega capacity sd cards. Have fun!

$900 gets a you a used version 1 ,100-400 . It’s a nice lens but not like the newer one. The new one is my go to lens. I personally really don’t like converters. There are some good options out there for affordable long range stuff. Like has been said the new sigma 100-400 looks good.Happy shopping!

Has anyone been in the chapel and taken pictures? My sisters husband has a friend that works in the chapel and is willing to show me around. I was wondering if there is anything in particular that I should look for . Any special angles ,time of day, special lenes, etc, or anything I should do besides being respectful. I am taking my 87 year old father . I hope he enjoys it. Thank You all for any help.
