Really getting into this retirement thing. Went shooting sporting clay's Wednesday fishing Thursday with a new friend I meet on one of my sites I visit. Today I'll be helping with a corporate shot and getting payed for it.
Happy retirement, there is nothing like it

Yes, highly recommended. You seem to found the groove. Live it and love it.

I retired from the paying job 12 years ago. That put me on the farm full time. Retired meant "tired again"
Retired from the farm last september. Added lots of pounds over the winter (which isn't over yet).
Whatever you do, do it actively to keep those pounds down and your joints moving.

Hi Dave! I am retired as of the first of the year. I didn't think I would like it. I have been a worker sense I was 15. But so far I am having a very good time. I do not miss work at all!!!:):) Janny and I are doing a lot of walking in the Parks we have around us. And going to see the grand kids.

Fish, walk, shoot, photograph, walk, swim. Enjoy Life. Sleep. Rinse and Repeat. 👍
Enjoy your retirement, looks as if you got the fishing part down, nice Rock fish/ Stripped bass at least that is what we call them in the north east.

Man I'm counting down the weeks. 123 to go. financial planning well in hand to maintain my present effective income, modest as it is. Looking foward to travelling my country without being in a hurry, because I have to get back to work Monday. Like Erv, working since I was 15, never more that two weeks off at a time for all of that. That sounds terrible, but I am amazed how much I have managed to fit in and am grateful for my health and jsut being alive to enjoy it. Best wishes every one, Andrew.
Once you are officially retired and "don't know what to do," just sit down where your wife can see you.

Enjoy your retirement any way you can. I've been fully retired now since 2006. Make maybe 2 planned trips a year of a week or more, active in church choir and 2 handbell groups, do photography for the church (gratis) as part of a volunteer group, dabble in genealogy, and do a lot of TV and web surfing. I have 6 indoor and 3 outdoor cats, too (just found out they're a "clowder"). At age 80 I'm slower, but still moving.
Welcome to the Hog and retirement. Officially retired January 2017. People said I would get bored since at work a continuous flow of people in my cubical or on the phone or emails needing something. Guess what, I am not bored, I do miss some of the people but I am able to get together with them every once in awhile. So all is good.
Looking forward to it soon.
Forgot to mention--I see my former coworkers once a month at a lunch date.
