I was out with my buddies hunting Pheasant when I spotted this guy in the distance, ditched my friends and gun. Grabbed my camera and stalked this guy. Shot was about fifteen feet distant with my Sigma Sport 150-600. I have spotted another critter that is on my list so who knows what next week will bring, I am thinking portable blind.

My friend releasing a Pheasant in the early morning at sunrise, Al has been releasing birds at our club for many years. I just happened to be ready this AM. I was already capturing images of the sunrise through the tule fog. This image was a bonus.

At first it was awkward but I soon learned to use its weight to my advantage, also for birds in flight I keep both eyes open to locate subject in viewfinder and then watch for the focus to light up. Been having fairly good success this way. Still need lots of practice!

I have been hearing them there for a couple of seasons but never had the lens to pursue them before. 150-600 Sigma Sport.

I tried the sneak on this pair and swoosh they were gone! Using what little logic I possess I deduced which tree they most likely had taken up their new vigil and was able to capture a few images. I know where they live now so maybe I will get lucky and get better quality next time. I am also stalking Barn and Burrowing owls in the same area.

I really like the textures brought out with the very warm black hues. Very pleasant picture.

I have uploaded 2 pics so you can see the difference. I thought of this pic some months ago but was spurred on when I found the make up when shopping for their costumes. I had already found the feathers when I was out and about doing birds in flight.

It's in the anticipation some of us never outgrew Christmas Eve. fills the time until delivery when you can share. My god did you ever dream about your girlfriend and share your feelings with your friends?

I particularly like the Art composition of the first image, classical in the mood and lovely lines of the boats, reflections are exquisite. This needs to be printed in high quality and framed for prominent display!
