Stalking Owl's for the first time

I tried the sneak on this pair and swoosh they were gone! Using what little logic I possess I deduced which tree they most likely had taken up their new vigil and was able to capture a few images. I know where they live now so maybe I will get lucky and get better quality next time. I am also stalking Barn and Burrowing owls in the same area.

Were they in a common place to be seen often so you knew to go and look for them there or were you just lucky to have them catch your eye? Great shot!

I have been hearing them there for a couple of seasons but never had the lens to pursue them before. 150-600 Sigma Sport.

Nice. I have heard owls in my neighborhood for as long as I have lived here (33 years), but have yet to see one. And I'm pretty sure they are why 4lb. Chihuahua came missing out of my backyard.

Cool capture...good job...I don't think people now how difficult it is to get a shot of an Owl RAK!! 8-) :thumbs:
