Semper Fi from an old Recon Marine, Vietnam 1968
Great work with the Subsee, takes lots of practice to get, in focus. Did you shoot with 60mm lens behind it ? Was your camera shutter release set to not release before in focus ? Heading back to Cozumel next week, then live aboard in Cebu Philippines after the thrasher sharks
I use .17 cal with a scope, they are not on ground long before a raccoon or crow disposes of them
I use Ikelite for my D7000, least expensive of all housings, about $1,500 does not, include strobes you see in my pic
Been there three times and have posted on Underwater Forum. Plenty of strange critters in that dark and murky water
I shoot D7000 underwater with 60 & 105 with twin strobes for macro
I'm a big critter fan, what lens did you use and what exactly is a macro flash ?
Very good, I like contemporary images
Ikelite makes them here in Indianapolis, You can see the clear plastic case and twin Ikelite strobes in my picture. There are many metal cases, but the price is several thousand dollars more.
Which dive shop do you work with, or you just guide for friends ?
Good capture on the juvy filefish, they can be hard to find
Nudis are one of my favorite critters, I shot over a hundred different types in Anilao. Never saw the three you shot, good work. If you need help with ID, go online. ww.nudipixel.net and post as well. I have several hundred posted from around the world
Thxs InaH, are they wrecks deep requiring tech diving or in the 100' range ? I have dived Truk Lagoon several years ago and had a blast with all the WWII Japanese wrecks in the bay.
I'm an old Recon Marine and operated North and West of Da Nang 68 / 69 will have to check out Davao, heard other divers talk about it.
I've dived Anilao, Dumaguete, Bohol, and Puerto Galera. Will travel to Cebu in Jan for 10 days liveaboard to the thrasher sharks and another 10 days on land based diving South end of Cebu.
Never made Davao because we heard the Muslims were a problem on that island. What can you tell me about the diving there
