Just back from 10 days on the Cayman Aggressor IV. Here are some photos. I'm going to try putting them all on this page if I can figure out how to do it. Critter Hunter told me about a 10x magnifier made by SubSee, the first 3 shots were taken with it.

The flounder, mantis and blenny are my favorites. Very cool!

(oops, you're still adding. I see another "favorite" :) )

Thanks Linda,

They all loaded easily until the last one. It took 4 trys and about 15 min., not sure why.

The sponge and brittle star are cool. I volunteered at the National Zoo's invertebrate exhibit years ago; we had some of each :)

Great stuff. A few years back i did 38 dives in 8 days on grand cayman. I couldnt tell you what the island looked like. They were all great dives but orange canyon stuck out for me. To date, it is my favorite dive. Absolutely a mind blowing dive. Gary

Hi Gary,

That's a lot, we did 37 in 9 days, but dove all 3 islands. I love the live-aboards.

I've always wanted to do a live aboard. I'm afraid i'd end up on a boat for a week w/ crazy person. my wife calls me a lunatic magnet. if we go to the red sox, the guy you hear screaming on tv will inevitably sit right next to me. he will spill beer on me and his hot dog w/ every condiment known to man will end up in my lap. did you dive bloody bay wall? (i think thats what its called) a friend of mine dove it and saw a huge tiger shark. its been on my bucket list since then. its great having a dive computer. when we 1st started diving you were shut off 24 hrs before you flew home. now the computer tells you when to stop, i love it. gary
ps. if you have more pics, post them. the ones you put up are great!

Thanks,

I've been on several live-aboards, there have been some characters but always very nice people. Yes we did several dives on Bloody Wall, saw a few Caribbean Reef Sharks, but no Tigers. I keep hoping.

Great work with the Subsee, takes lots of practice to get, in focus. Did you shoot with 60mm lens behind it ? Was your camera shutter release set to not release before in focus ? Heading back to Cozumel next week, then live aboard in Cebu Philippines after the thrasher sharks

Hi Critter-Hunter,

Yes I was shooting with a 60mm Macro and yes the shutter won't release without something in focus, not always what I want to be in focus. I have a focus gear on the lens though which comes in handy for stationary objects.

Good luck with the Thresers and post some pics.

Thanks Lenf,

The magnifier came in really handy. The Chelidonura was only about 3 mm. The tiny Hermit Crab looked like a flea and I was only able to tell what it was, was when I got home and processed the pictures.
