I have been watching the video's, but the video's don't help at all.
How long does it take to learn Ps?
Does anyone have any tips or tricks to speed up the learning process?
Lightroom is so easy compared to Ps.
I keep thinking about cancelling the Ps subscription.

You will end up spending more time trying master Ps than you would taking pictures.

Is the title of a New York Times report, November 22, 2014, p. A15.

"A two-year investigation by Republican-controlled House Intelligence Committee has found that the C.I.A. and the military acted properly in responding to the 2012 attack on a United States diplomatic compound in B******i, Libya, and asserted no wrongdoing by Obama administrative employees. Debunking a series of persistent allegations hunting at dark conspiracies, the investigation determined that there was no intelligence failure, no delay in sending a C.I.A. rescue team, no missed opportunity for a military rescue team, no evidence the C.I.A. was covertly shipping arms from Libya to Syria."

I suspect this will not convince some of the conclusion jumpers who posted their convictions here right after the event.

This reads like a press release from The Hillary Clinton for President Committee.

I just purchased the Brinno TLC 200 Pro, but the files are only in AVI format. How do I convert them into some other file type, that I can post on YouTube, or read on my iPad, or share with others? I can watch them on my PC, but that's it.
Appreciate any ideas! Thanks!

Look for a piece of freeware called Format Factory, it will do the job.

I am about to buy a Canon SX60. I've seen it at Target for $549, same price at Best Buy. Online stores I recognize offer it at the same $549. Then there are other online stores i've not heard of, that offer it at prices 10% - 17% less, But........ most often, reviews are poor. Some buyers report shipments don't include a battery and power supply, Import Duty is hidden and separate, deliveries are very late, not everything in the box, even, an empty box, etc.

I'd like the savings but have a very bad temper. [smile]

Help! Any trusted online sellers that discount and don't have gimmicks (Hong Kong, China, etc.) or bad reputations?

Maybe I'm safer and happier to pay full price and walk out with camera in hand. I live in small town America. Only one camera shop, 40 miles RT. Maybe I'll do that.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

My suggestion is this. If u r going to buy online at least buy from an American company like Adorama, B&H or any of the other fine online merchants that do business. You NEVER know what you are going to get, or how long it will take to get something from
an Asian source. But that is just me. I don't mind pay a few extra bucks to get it right and timely.

Gather up some leaves from the yard last week. I sprayed them with some water and froze them to preserve their color and shape. I placed them on a white napkin, makes a really great background, a 18% gray card and a black napkin to give some variety. I hope you enjoy them and thanks for looking. No PP other than some cropping but otherwise they are right out of the camera.

Very nice. Ever go to the Air and Water Show by the Lake in August? When is the Rockford show?

No, there are just too many people that go to the lake front show and I do not handle very large crowds very well. The Rockford Air Show was in June. Much smaller crowds and you are able to get better shots. Usually a pretty decent lineup. We had the RCAF Snowbirds, and The Thunderbird's this year but like I said it was very overcast with a low ceiling.

"The Stearman (Boeing) Model 75 is a biplane used as a military trainer aircraft, of which at least 10,626 were built in the United States during the 1930's and 1940's. Stearman Aircraft became a subsidiary of Boeing in 1934. Widely known as the Stearman, Boeing Stearman or Kaydet, it served as a primary trainer for the USAAF, the USN (as the NS & N2S), and with the RCAF as the Kaydet throughout World War II. After the conflict was over, thousands of surplus aircraft were sold on the civilian market. In the immediate postwar years they became popular as crop dusters, sports planes, and for aerobatic and wing walking use in airshows.

After World War II, the thousands of PT (primary trainer)-17 Stearmans were auctioned off to civilians and former pilots. Many were modified for crop dusting use, with a hopper for pesticide or fertilizer fitted in place of the front cockpit. Additional equipment included pumps, spray bars, and nozzles mounted below the lower wings. A popular approved modification to increase the maximum takeoff weight and climb performance involved fitting a larger Pratt & Whitney R-985 engine and a constant speed propeller."(courtesy of Wikipedia)

I captured this Stearman and the acrobat this past summer at the Rockford, IL. airshow. The skies were very overcast and it took me some time to clean them up to a point where they were worthy of showing.

When i saw this image created by a friend who hunts with a bow each fall to feed his family i was excited at the opportunity to share it as a capture which worked on several levels and would interest a broad spectrum of viewers.

I posted it.
It received no comment.
My question now is why is it un-notable?

I have noticed that more times than not if the post is not regarding hummingbirds, lighthouses or Florida waterfowl it goes completely unnoticed!

Ping Tom Park is small Chicago Park District facility on the north side of Chicago's Chinatown. It is former industrial area that was rehabilitated by the CPD and is now one of the nicest parks in the system. It offers some incredible views of Chicago magnificent skyline without many obstructions. These shot were taken this past Saturday at my Meetup I sponsored there. I hope you enjoy them and thanks for looking. The only PP is cropping and addition of my watermark.

Of course your comments are welcome and appreciated.

Enjoy

Folks, I really lucked out today. I thought I'd take a walk across the Music City Pedestrian Walkway just for kicks. I always wanted to check it out. It crosses the Cumberland River near Opryland. I was thrilled when I noticed the General Jackson Showboat was just about to pass underneath the bridge on it's journey from downtown back to Opryland.

Great shots of a beautiful boat. We were scheduled to take the cruise this past July but I got sick and we had to cut our stay in Nashville short.
