If you ever hear about them on a lake or river, go see them. They swim in a single row about 6 or so in length, then a space about the same length, then another half dozen so in a row directly lined up, and it continues for as many pelicans in the overall group.

Get a Pentax or Olympus camera and lens. When you're done with pictures, just rinse your equiptment off.

Love #3 and #6 from the OP's collection. The #3 may be in B&W but it's really raconteur. Well done!

Don't leave out countries like Mexico, South America, Native Africans, Asians, their dress is much more colorful.

True. I've got some images of Aztec's.

Their colors are wonderful and the feathers are beautiful.

I am amazed at the differences in the color of clothing from other cultures as compared to our more supposed sophisticated dress. Black, blue, brown, etc. and all must match. I envy their creativity and originality.

OlinBost, the majority of colors used were originally from items found in nature. That and there are more varieties of things like berries to naturally make colors with.

Also East coast Native Americans were trading with Europeans for a very long time and built up their supply of colors.

I'm not native either but I adopted many of their ways including language. I've studied Navajo for several years, but it is one of the most difficult! I was told that if you hadn't grown up with the language by the time your 12 you'd never learn it, I'm 80 and only about 6 years into it, only do it to keep my old brain alive!!

Lucky you.

Both taken with my Pentax K5, ISO 500, Tv 1/200, Using my Sigma 70-200mm.
The first one with Av f:2.8, at 200mm.
Second one using Av f:3.2, at 85mm.

The first photo of older man performing a dance, I have no idea what type or percentage he is. Although several were 100%.
The second photo of younger man with gun is 1/4 Cherokee.

I used to go to Tall Bull Park south of Denver, they had big PWs, loved to watch them dance!!

I used to attend two or three Powwows each year in SE Tennessee, Chattanooga and Cleveland areas. Plus one couple wanted me to cover their traditional Native American wedding.

Me not being native American, found it extremely wonderful. (So did they. LoL)

Hello! I tried my first star trail photo tonight using “bulb mode” for 25 minutes on a Canon EOS R and an EF 35-80mm lens (not sure if that matters here). I am not in a highly populated area but there are some lights from homes sparsely scattered around ours. This was taken in the pitch black dark at 10:30pm. It obviously looks like broad daylight because light from somewhere infiltrated, but where? And what can I do to prevent this next time? Thanks in advance for your advice!

Besides most telling you "overexposed", remember the moon is presently getting brighter and you need to compensate for it.

From the world is going to end for Nikon users (Nikon supposedly is quitting the production of entry level - THAT from a RUMOR site -) to hacking cameras...

There is plenty of fodder on line to scare the poop out of the pharanoic* Nikon photographers...

Is the hack? Yup. Are you targeted? Nope.

So?

Someone is out to get you, right? Well... that someone already has you since you are looking over your shoulder instead of looking at your subject.

I need a tripod as my hand shakes. I have a d7200 and would like to get an easy to use tripod that i can attach my camera to at the beginning of my days shoot. Something easy to raise and lower. i can easily place them carefully in my car if needed. I guess something under $300. Any suggestions? I have essential tremors in my right hand.

John n mentioned a monopod and thats more likely what you should be looking for.

They are probably three times lighter, many can be used as a treking pole, and the best thing is that you can bring it just about everywhere.

No need to return to your car tostore it away after finding out the locations doesn't allow a tripod.

The mirrorless migration would probably falter if we took mirrorless commentaries out of the mainstream. Either that, or it would increase the "ostrichity" of both types of users... They'd crawl into their own caves on opposite sides of the watering hole (2001: A Space Odyssey reference).

It would be like putting all the conservatives on Fox, and all the liberals on NPR + PBS. Oh, wait... That's actually happened! See where THAT got us?

The EXIF data indicates that you used spot metering. Apparently, you spot metered off the darkest spot in the scene (the very center of the flower), and the camera adjusted exposure accordingly. Spot metering for this is okay, but make sure you choose the spot wisely. Near the edge of the flower, for example.

Even before reading this post, I knew the OP used spot metering. It only makes sence that would happen. Otherwise changing in post could do it.

Thant makes me wonder if it's really true.

I found out about it through a third party. Looking the name up, I came across the home page. Then looked around at one or two other links in that site. Then another outside that site, (another YouTube site referencing it.)

Thanks for the additional checking. I like the thought of it but can't. Now I have doubts a out it.
