I only checked it out because I thought you’d somehow posted a photo of me. Imagine my surprise when I saw what the “rusty old relic from the 50’s” was. Nice capture!

Right, I know where the Okeefenokee is, been there a number of times. In looking at the range of gators, it looks like they can be close to Columbus, not as far north as Macon, and over to the Savannah River. So they don’t seem to come up to any Fall Lines. Can be seen in South Georgia. I’ve seen them on/near the coast in SC/NC, and I swear I’ve got a memory of at least one being spotted in VERY southern Virginia when I lived outside of Williamsburg. They do cover most of Mississippi and all of Louisiana.

Actually, I’m from Atlanta. My point is that you need to go down to the Okie - or relatively near there - to see gators.

Interesting about Jayne Mansfield. She’s actually buried in Pen Argyl, PA. She was never buried in California.

It is. We’ve had a house at Lake Burton for 40 years, and I’ve been coming here since I was a toddler.

It has been fascinating to see the transformation of Clayton from a town with, well, nothing to a town with many great restaurants and a first class grocery.

I very specifically recognized several locations of your photos. I’m going to Black Rock today or tomorrow to do some shooting.

I’m in Clayton right now and recognize where some of these photos are taken. Nice set.

I worked at Six Flags Georgia in the 70’s. Thanks for the memories!

As a minister with over 500 weddings of experience, DON’T agree to do the shoot.

A. You don’t have the experience. What’s going to happen when your photos, no matter how good they may be, aren’t “perfect?” Based on what little info you’ve given about the couple, they are going to be difficult to please. I think this may well create a wide spread family “situation,” with family members beyond the bridal couple getting involved.

B. I always advise a couple to plan their budget with the photographer being hired first. That is the ONE thing that will last past the wedding day, except hopefully, the marriage.

And I expected the photo of the moment Orville Wright lifted off. Still, a famous shot.

Not to mention some crab pots. Thanks for the photos. Though I haven’t lived there for 30 years, your photos bring back those memories of living on the Chick.
