Alberio, I was purposely waiting for that "kissing the sun spot" photo...
The weeks before the eclipse, practicing on the normal sun, I found that sunspot photography is interesting as well, using the SOHO website to see when there were lots of spots, then run out and go snap a few photos... With my setup, 1/800s, f11, ISO 100 works Everytime!
My first sunspot photo/finding the SOHO website was an accidental thing, while taking a sunset photo in the Black Hills of South Dakota when there was heavy smoke in the air from the Canada forest fires... Be hooked ever since!... Just another fun thing to do with the camera with traveling... I'll try to find that and post it

I was in Westlake, Texas at my brother-in-laws house... For 1 minute 57 secs of Totality... Captured some BONUS Coronal Mass Ejections during the "Diamond Ring" and "Bailey's Beads" 👍🏻
Clouds came in AFTER totality and blocked the downhill side of the eclipse... We had clouds before and after, but was totally blessed with a huge break in the clouds during totality...with stars, Jupiter, and Venus easily seen with the naked eye.
Non-totality shots were with the D3500 with non-VR AFP 70-300 on tripod, with K&F Concepts ND100000.
Totality shots were with the D5600 with VR AFP 70-300, handheld, no filter.
Then we immediately hit the road to head back to Kansas, due to forecasted hail and bad weather in Westlake... The roads (traffic) weren't bad at all on I-35 Northbound!

Thanks everyone.... I can't wait till Friday... Hopefully, those eaglets will be too big to hide in the bole of the nest... 🤞🏻🤞🏻

We still have 3 eaglets...
Yeah 💪😎👍...everyone's rooting for all three to survive...does anyone have info on when they 'usually' lose the third eaglet?...if he's held on this long, will he survive to be flying fletching?!?!?...I hope so!
Male eagle flying, Female perched, a couple close-ups for the with/without nictitating eyelid shots.
2nd and 3rd flying eagle shots were a little hot, I threw in +1.0 EV, shoulda left it at 0 or -.3 EV...(First closeup flying) The morning sun and white heads on dark brown bodies in open blue sky IS VERY DIFFICULT to keep from blowing out the highlights...and still get some body feathers details... But just more experience under my belt to know what to do next time!
Now to start packing for tomorrow's road trip to Dallas for Eclipse24 ...

Looking thru the 100+ pictures from my last outing, I missed the ONE photo of TWO faces of the eaglets... (Posted here)....
I'll be hiking back to the nest on Friday, before heading down to Texas for the eclipse on Saturday morning....stay tuned for BIGGER little birdies!...lolol

Thanks everyone!... I'm also rooting for the little guy...cuz food shouldn't be a problem.
As I'm hiking back to the car, along the Little Arkansas River (it's basically a very shallow creek, practically all sand bottom and banks) and there were a ton of huge carp, some so shallow their backs were outta the water..and all were between 5-8 lb'ers... I would think just ONE of those hawgs a day would feed those eaglets to a full belly...
