Hi,

This small tourist area is about 30 min. train ride from Centraal Station.
The weather was kind of iffy but we really enjoyed the scene.

Hope you enjoy them all.

Very nice. You have a very good eye for composition.

I never served but I grew up with one. Very true.

Tombstone Butte and the aspirations of a juniper.

Excellent shots. I would call them wall hangers.

A few classic cars seen at a couple of car shows.

Is the third picture a 1953 ford. My first pickup truck was a '53 that I owned in '73. Can't tell from the picture if it is a '53 or '54.

Sorry. I arrived at the show just as they were announcing the winner of Best In Show, the 56 Chevy. People started leaving immediately & I just shot what I could get. That Merc pulled out before I could get a shot.

Thanks for the reply. It would have been nice to see.

Very nice. I would like to see one of the 1963 or '64 Mercury behind it if you have one. My first car was a '63 Mercury Marauder.

Started doing model figures again after a 40 year absence, big learning curve as different paints now. On my fourth now, a WW2 Soviet pilot a "Night Witch" and getting better I think. Any advice from modellers on here?

I never saw anything like those before. They are excellent. Really nice work.

Thank you again everyone for your comments. Really not looking for a pat on the back, although greatly appreciated. Just wanted to bring attention to some of the living conditions on these Native American Reservations. As far as raising a big family, family is important to them and many live in family camps as does this family, so they do have support from other members of the camp. There are about 6 families in this family camp.

This past fall, we received word that there was a young Navajo family in drastic need of there house being weathered in. You could sit inside and look to the outside through the roof and side walls. For those who have never been out on the Reservation, the winter is very cold and windy and not much protection. Our team went out in late April to get them weathered in. Another team went out in May to work on the inside. They had no electric or running water which is the case for about 56% of those on the reservation. We couldn't do anything about the water but did get electricity to them and a new metal roof and also wrapped the house and put new T-111 siding on. This is a family of 7 with another one on the way. The house is less than 400 sq. ft.. Here are a few before and after photos.

Nice series. You did not mention anything about your group; organized, unorganized etc. You and they deserve recognition for identifying a problem and correcting it. People helping people is an important part of the American way.

Sorry. It is the Church of God Eastern Conference. We are from several churches in the conference.
