Very nice set. Almost feel like you are there.

Me too, bought mine brand new, Fiesta Red!
This is a nice shot, it sure pops!!  :D

I remember seeing them around as I was growing up. Always did like the two toned cars of the 50's and 60's. They were built like tanks back then too. Thanks for the nice comment and two thumbs up.

This would be my take, just adjusting the sky/clouds and then the shadows under the car and that super dark front wheel well.

I simply used your "HDR" version as a base, then added a layer where I made the adjustments. Then moved my adjusted layer to the back and used the background eraser to remove the original sky and shadow areas from the original layer.

Nice job. However I really do not care much for the color casting happening in the parking lot nor the sky. I do like the darker sky. As far as the wheel is concerned, I did not really see anything of interest in the wheel well so left it dark. Your interpretation really brings out the detail there.

Very nicely done!! I would 'personally' like to see the clouds darkened a bit more and the shadows under the driver's side and inside the front wheel well lightened up to bring out more detail...

With layers it could be done without destroying the excellent job you have done on the car itself. I could post a sample for you, IF you would like.

Feel free to give it a go. I would really like to see what your interpretation would be.

Not to shabby!
Loved the '56 Victoria, had 3 of them at one time.

Not being a car buff I was not sure of the year. Thanks for letting me know and the kind comment as well. Just a lark to see if I could get a bit of the HDR flavor from a single image using plugins. Not too bad a start.

Do you identify with the virtual "senior" in the joke or do you feel superior to him? I know it's supposed to be funny, but I didn't think it was particularly funny and no one who knows me has ever accused me of lacking a sense of humor. As someone brought up on borscht belt standup comedy, it takes a lot to make me laugh.

I have moments that I can certainly identify with my age and some of the limitations that come with it. I do work with technology every day and have embraced it since I was a boy. However, when I look at some of my limitations today compared to a couple decades back I can see that things have changed. Have I become stupid or challenged by technology? No, but I know of several of my friends who have and they would identify with the joke much better than I. I simply look at the humor and chuckle and sometimes belly laugh. It is like watching the movie "Home Alone" with my wife when a brick is thrown off a two story building and hits a guy in the head. She asked me "Wouldn't that have killed him?" Totally lost the humor (little as it may have been). I was a movie and not real life. So, berchman, remember it is a joke and not real life. It was not made to offend I don't think. If the shoe does not fit, then don't wear it. Have a great day.

I know it's supposed to be funny, but think about it. First of all, it's not true and second of all it's insulting to older people. I'm 76 and I'm getting my first smart phone, an iPhone 6 plus, and I have no doubt that I'll master it just like I taught myself Photoshop and Lightroom, just like I mastered the Nikon D800, just like I learned DOS before Windows. And I'm not even "handy" in fixing things.

I was in Costco the other day and saw a large format magazine/book titled "iPhone 6 for Seniors." I mean, Come on! I downloaded David Pogue's book on the iPhone on my Kindle; I don't need no stinkin' patronizing book for "seniors."
I know it's supposed to be funny, but think about ... (show quote)

Maybe you should just unwind it a couple of twists and see the humor and not take life quite so seriously. Sorry, but someone had to say it.

Maybe it's just me, but in shots 2 and 4, it looks like the whole church is leaning to the left, and/or there's a lot of lense distortion, which as you undoubtedly know can be corrected with the perspective tool in Photoshop.

This is my first visit to this section and I really like what I see - so, I'll be back, with lot's of newbie questions. I hope I don't drive you all nuts.

Yep, it's just you. :D Seriously it was a matter of which vertical you wanted to make vertical. This is an old church which is far from square in its old age. My point of vertical reference in PP was the left corner of the church or the left of the steeple. I was using a 17-35mm lens and did not want to change the perspective this lens gave because I liked the perspective it gave. Kinda personal choice here. Thanks for looking and your comments.

Thank you all for the nice comments. I also prefer the second image. I just wish the fish had jumped closer to center frame, maybe on one of the 1/3 points. Here is another from not too far from Price Lake.
