Visited Florence this last Easter and of course, went to the Uffizi Gallery, Whew, what a museum, what a crowd! Anyway took this picture of the painting Birth of Venus' by Botticelli, painted 1482-1485, and to me, one of the most beautiful paintings ever created, especially of those by the 'Masters.' Took photo while moving through a mass of humanity of Easter visitors, no tripods allowed. Sony A6300, SEL 1018, f4. Cropped and lens adjusted in PS Elements 15 and still have original RAW file. Question is...is there a way to create more of a 'Plan View' (a more horizontal view) without any distortion to the internal image....Or should I really worry about it? Any and all comments, good or bad, are appreciated.....still learning
Wonderful picture, nice composition
Nice selection of photographs, very vibrant colors
Only thing its missing is the "Chew Mail Pouch Tobacco" painted on the side 😉😉....Great photo, such a classic of the perod
Thanks Jerry, appreciate it...I will get better
No, just standing outside my room, shooting up....cloud layers were everywhere, high, low, mid and any given time. The eagles were off in the distance at about 50-90 degrees depending when I took the photo
Raptors over Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage and a Mexican Pheasant (lol), 3 Eagles, an F-22 and a Magpie. Taken on a recent trip in late May this year and about the only clear day (and only half of that day at that) we had in 8 days of cold, more cold & rain. Sorry for the quality, they're not the best since I just missed focus on all of these but still practicing and to wanted show the vast photographic opportunities available just outside your door....in Alaska. I'll be heading back real soon to try again with hopefully much better weather and much better results.
'He who has the most toys when he dies, wins' But, but, but....Nikon, Canon, Sony and other camera companies need to stay in business ☺☺....GAS is what keeps the profits flowing. Seems they're always introducing a new and better widget as technology continues to advance. Guilty myself of GAS and not necessarily in photography, you should see my fishing equipment, Lordy, Lordy. I now live by the old adage, fishing lures aren't designed to catch fish but fisherman. I'd love a new car with new features but the current one is still going strong and I like it......I guess ask yourself Do I 'need' the upgrade or do I 'want' the upgrade....either way, Enjoy your passion.
Welcome, take pictures, again & again & again with what you currently have and see where you want to go from there. Sony's 10-18mm is a great lens for that type of photography. Good luck
Bummer, we cancelled our trip to Scotland this year because of two hurricanes in or near FL, sure envy you, great photos
Might take a moment to think, say a prayer, for those who are experiencing and fighting the horror that's going on in NAPA and surrounding areas and give thanks its not your area....btw, post a couple of great sunset photos when you get the chance.
Absolutely love owls and see many in my area but can never that get close and then its always early in the am.....great photos and shows the personality of these fantastic birds, love the Christmas Tree.
An early evening stroll in Sarlat de Canada, France and wishing I had a tripod. Streets were clear in this beautiful Medieval town before everyone came out for dinner. Sun was setting but it was still a little bright out. However the glow emanating from the only shop was intriguing.
