Visited Florence this last Easter and of course, went to the Uffizi Gallery, Whew, what a museum, what a crowd! Anyway took this picture of the painting Birth of Venus' by Botticelli, painted 1482-1485, and to me, one of the most beautiful paintings ever created, especially of those by the 'Masters.' Took photo while moving through a mass of humanity of Easter visitors, no tripods allowed. Sony A6300, SEL 1018, f4. Cropped and lens adjusted in PS Elements 15 and still have original RAW file. Question is...is there a way to create more of a 'Plan View' (a more horizontal view) without any distortion to the internal image....Or should I really worry about it? Any and all comments, good or bad, are appreciated.....still learning

Hard to get a clear shot with the crowds - good job. Florence is on my list for sure!

One of the most beautiful paintings...I also saw it in person. No photograph can ever describe the beauty. And then when you go out the side door, and look down the long corridor, there at the end is DAVID! What a trip.

You can make it seem more horizontal in Photoshop if you transform/distort to make the frame edges completely vertical. You could also stretch the image a bit making it slightly taller, also by using transform/distort. This might not exactly make it like it would haev appeared of your eyes were level with the center of the painting, but it will get to how you remember it and/or think it should be. Some versions of Photoshop will do this more easily with the perspective crop tool, and there is also DxO Viewpoint.
Thanks for the advice, going there now
