You really need to read NASA's report about this. The burning this year is higher than normal in Rondonia and Matte Grosso, but it is lower than usual in the other Brazilian states and is actually at or just under the 15 year average.

Not only that, but the news today on Google's news feed pointed out that many of the photos are from several years ago and aren't even from the Amazon.

If that isn't enough, NASA says that the Amazon actually only provides 6 percent of the world's oxygen, not 20 like the environmentalists have claimed. And finally, most of the burning is to provide grassland for cattle, and grassland although it is not as good of a carbon sink as forest provides nearly as much oxygen.

In other words, it is not the catastrophe that U.S. is making it out to be. It's the same thing that has been going on for 15 plus years. Yes, deforestation is a problem, but the stories are largely fraudulent, which a simple search of the NASA data will show.

And tell me what is joining the Paris Accord and spending Trillions of dollars going to do? Give us some real life examples please. Show me too how it is due to human activity. We are told about CO2 emissions yet a volcano that erupted a few months ago spewed more CO2 into the air than humans since mankind was born. So tell us how we are going to control volcanos. Then tell us that in 200 years the earth won't be cooling down just as it is warming up now. This comes in cycles no matter what mankind does. That my friend is where we differ. Nobody has yet proved to me and others that this can be reversed or even if we need to reverse it. Who says your side is right and my side is wrong??? Absolutely true. All I could think of when reading those posts was, Jesus, what a load of bulls**t. Who on the Left makes this s**t up?
