I noticed that Amazon sells some Sony bundles which are sold and shipped through 3rd parties such as Beach and Cardinal. I am not familiar with these companies. The items included in the bundle seem to very good. Do these companies sell grey market?

OH man, this one took me 2 seconds on google. You can do the other one your self by googling Cardinal Camera. You will find a phone number on each site, then you can call them and ask them yourself. By the way, do you make your own breakfast or does someone ALWAYS do that for you to.

Hi Everyone,
I am asking for advice to help me get rid of AA battery acid that leaked into my infrared cam battery compartment. I left the batteries in for approximately 14 months while storing it.
Someone told me to use a q tip dipped in vinegar. Do any one of you have any other suggestions other than taking it to a shop to be fixed? Thanks in advance.

You are done, time for a new camera. I hope you have learned a valuable lesson. NEVER leave AA or AAA batteries in your camera.

To each his own, I leave my lens caps at home when I shoot.

I’ve heard that the Zeis 24 to 70 or is it 24 to 80 2.8 is the sharpest all purpose lens available. If not, then what is?

The sharpest lens in photography is the one that is currently on your camera.
A GOOD photographer can make any lens SHARP.

A take off on the question "Your Favorite Camera" You can only have one camera, you can all the lenses you want to go with that camera. Money is no problem. Remember this camera is the only one you can have for the rest of your life. Something happens to the camera, no replacement.

I have and still own various cameras. I use different cameras for different things. But I have a favorite. One that is my go to carry it with me everyday. I like the results I get from it SOOC, I love the color, I like the way it works, and I like the way it feels and handles. And it has one hot pixel. Arrrrrgggggg. 😡 But it is still my favorite camera.

So this post is not about what camera is best or most expensive or mine is better than yours, or DSLR vs Mirrorless, or brand loyalty. It's about what camera is your favorite camera, and lens, and why.

Mine is my Olympus OM-D EM5 Mii + 14-45 Panasonic Lens.

What is yours?

I will probably start a range war here, but, I think the phrase "I don't like my camera making decisions for me" is so overused. I contend, unless you are shooting creatively, the camera is, in fact, making decisions for you. The purists always say, I shoot manual mode because I want to be in control of my camera. So, you set shutter speed, you set the aperture, you set the iso, but then, you check the exposure meter. If the little slider line is not in the middle (for proper exposure), you then adjust one or more of the three (shutter speed, aperture, iso) To get WHAT THE CAMERA SAYS is proper exposure. So, as I said, unless you are shooting for creative effects, and ignore the exposure meter on your camera, that camera is making decisions for you. What say you?

You have it all wrong. The most overused and absurd phrase in photography is NIFTY FIFTY.

I guess mirrorless cameras are always live view. In the DSLR live view opens the shutter and reads the photosites and displays a jpeg equivelent to the led screen. Mirrorless does that too, but it also sends that view to the to the viewfinder. So you are right live view and mirrorless are the same or similar in that way.

One of the reasons for battery drain in mirrorless is that the led screen is ON all the time. But, you can turn it off and that I have done, helps save the battery.
It does not seem to matter weather on not I am shooting jpeg or raw the same image is displayed in the viewfinder.

I have the Nikon Df which has very low noise. When I was shopping for it the dealer didn't have it and the sales guy tried to sell me the D800 and said if you down size the image from the D800 to 16MP you would have the same low noise level as the Df. Plus you have higher resolution when shooting in bright light and noise is not a problem.
Still I didn't buy the D800.
So what I said to the OP is that he could down size the image from the A7RIV when he has to shoot in low light and have the same resolution as the A9 and possibly same noise level. In bright light he can have the 61MP images.

My D7200 has histograms on my screen and they stay there if I want them to for every shot.

Same with my Sony a9. And, as a matter of fact, while looking through my viewfinder and adjusting the exposure compensation, I can watch my histogram move, so I can in real time adjust my photo to my liking and see if the histogram concurs.

You could try to down size the images from the A7RIV down to 24MP and see if the noise is going away?

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the camera with a 61 mp rating?
