Car insurance: Every three years, I take an online course from the National Safety Council and save money on my car insurance. It's a six-hour course that costs $30 (used to be $45). Different companies authorize different courses, so call before you sign up for a course.
Extra: I've posted this tip before. Visit or call your cable provider every year to see if they can lower your bill. I went in person to return some equipment, and the agent voluntarily checked to see if she could reduce my monthly bill. She not only reduced it, but she told me to check every year or two to see if they could lower it more.
