My wife led members of her church and one girl from the Catholic church on a mission trip to Jaurez Mexico to build a house for a mother and her five children.

There has been a mass exodus of people leaving Jaurez to get away from the constant danger posed by the drug cartels and gangs.

Jaurez Mexico is on the list of "The top ten most dangerous cities in the world." It is controlled mostly by the drug cartels.

A middle class income in Jaurez is about $840.00 per month. The family this house is for does not make nearly that much.

There were two professional Mexican construction workers who oversaw the construction of the house. The mother and the grandmother also worked with the team to build the house. The pastor said the grandmother worked harder than anyone other person. Because of the familys' help, the house was completed two days ahead of schedule.

I just looked thru your portfolio and read many posts. Pass on photographing your daughters wedding and just go have fun. Take some pictures for her but don't be 'the photographer,' be the father of the bride.

I shoot Canon. When using manual focus the camera will beep when the subject is in focus. perhaps you have that somewhere in the camera settings and can turn it on

You could ask her what her photography instructors recommended. The 70-200 is a great portrait lens. If you want a prime get her the one with the widest aperture at 85mm. You are talking a business and not just a hobby right?
