I have this camera.
I bought to grow in to photography and I love it.
I'd like to know the details of the tele converter, brand zoom factor and price if possible .
RX 100 was returned for this. Yes it took great images but really limits your creativity. The Coolpix p7700 has all real / external cOntrols not on screen which I much prefer.
I'm in to my 3rd week owning a Nikon Coolpix p7700. I chose it after 1 year of research and it has not let me down in any area at all. $450 Cdn.
And to add more suspense, I just bought. A Nikon cool pix p7700. I came from ancient film times with Pentax then 6 years ago a couple of p&s ( Canon $ Nikon ). I'm really pleased with this described as the current top Nikon p&s but I like all the external controls, acts as commander for slave flashes, can take a great plug in mic for shooting video, built in physical ND filter takes external filters, AND STILL FITS IN ALL MY JACKET POCKETS!
Just one thought about what type of camera not which one in particular. At my local camera shop there are literally hundreds of various vintage full size DSLR cameras being sold on a consignment basis. I have spoken to some of their owners and the general thoughts include one main point. They, along with their lenses are just getting too heavy to lug around all day on a shoot. They are very happy with the smaller scale 4/3 mirrorless set ups.
I think you are selling iMovie short. I can cut, splice and add audio ( after deleting the original audio noise ) without resorting to using the help menu.
there are lots of YouTube help files plus the browser based help from within iMovie itself.
I agree about Not expecting much when it Is free but I feel part of. The premium we pay for our Macs is the decent quality software that comes with it.
I am still using a 5 year old p&s. Almost all my shots are taken while cycle touring and I like that I can pull the camera from my jersey pocket while often standing astride my bicycle.
I'm beginning to notice some friends with newer cameras take superior images of exactly the same view. Thus I've decided the technology has improved sufficiently that a new pocket size camera is warranted.
Please help me through the myriad of choices out there
