Does anyone know what kind of speaker system a B&H super 8 projector uses? I cann’t find anything on U-tube,E Bay nor could an electrical repair shop. Bell &Howell didn’t even answer my e-mail. A picture would help if you have one or would you like to sell it?
Does it just use a standard 1/4" phone connector to plug into the projector? (Looks like it might from the photo.) If so it would be very cheap and easy to buy a pair of speakers from a thrift store and attach a phone plug bought from ebay or Amazon.

When I was a teenage drag racing fan, the top fuelers were just starting to go under 7 seconds and over 200 mph. And now the pro stock cars are doing 210 with naturally aspirated engines on gasoline, and the pro stock motorcycles are just starting to go over 200.
Yes, I remember when running in the 7s was called the Twilight Zone, after the TV show.
Great racing in those days, lots of variety, lots of innovation.
And then I remember when the Greer and Black digger with an up-and-coming painter named Don Prudhome driving, went 7.77!
Good times.

I was amazed at how new a recently purchased lens was from Japan. There was no import tax charged, and the lens and glass looked absolutely new. This was a twenty year old Minolta lens!
My experience too! Mine is a 25 year-old Minolta (great white). Very, very nice, exactly as described (near mint). And very fast shipping. Ordered Sun. evening on eBay, arrived Wed. noon (northern Calif.).
Some offer free shipping, some charge various rates. Just consider the total price (including shipping). You will probably also pay sales tax on eBay (depending on where you live) but there was no import duty.
Beautiful! Just outstanding! Thanks for posting them.

We too. Paid for school.
You did better than me. I made it thru school, not by racing, but in spite of it. 🙄

.....yes, there is no free lunch, but the point is - it is simple, fast, and FREE and, better than using an optical extender.

For an amateur such as myself, it is great when you "run out of lens." Maybe there is a little degradation, but it's not noticible to me (with 75 year-old eyes), and I get a shot I otherwise would not have. 👍

As the saying goes, "Do you know how to make a small fortune in racing? Start with a bog fortune."
I, for one, would love to hear more about the race cars. 😀
I built a few sprint car and street-stock (and street racer) motors many years ago. Always love the old racing stories.

THAT is the deal of the day!
He is bound to have one (or more) that is perfect for you.
Enjoy!
I have a Tamron AF 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 on my Sony a500 for just that purpose. It works great and cost about $75 from KEH.
I too enjoyed photography in the '70s and into the '80s, with Minolta gear. (I even sold a few photos: racing go-karts and motorcycles, and jumping horses.) Yes, sometimes life gets in the way.
When I decided to sell all my film cameras and lenses, I was amazed to find my Maxxum lenses would fit Sony A-mount DSLRs.
Wow, fantastic!
I now have a500 and a58 bodies and a half-dozen Minolta AF lenses, all bought used, for not a lot more than I sold my old gear for!
None of it is even close to state of the art, but it works great for me. Just for comparison, i paid $300 for my Vivitar Series 1 70-210 zoom, all manual, in 1980 or so.
Try it. I think you'll like it.
