Thank you! It was fools luck, I saw the hawk and it appeared to be struggling in the tree. It finally settled on the branch. It wasnā€™t until I had it in photoshop that I saw the chipmunk

Reminds me of this pic I took. Taking random shots of gulls. Didnā€™t realize he had a crab in his mouth until I got it downloaded.

I second the Canon Pixma Pro 200, I have gone several months almost up to a year without printing on mine and had no problems printing. My biggest worry when purchasing a photo printer was clogged printheads and this has not been a problem at all with this printer. I also like that it is wireless and the Canon support software Professional Print Layout which is a Photoshop Plug In is a joy to use.

One point of disagreement with the above post and it could be that I don't print tons of images is that I have had the printer for over 2 years and am on my 4th load of ink and almost exclusively print 13 X 19 borderless prints and have not encountered any problems with ink residue or smudging.

I just want to put my 2 cents in on the borderless issue. Iā€™ve seen it commented so many times here at UHH that recently, out of fear, I have been printing with borders. However, I have never seen this problem with Canon printers. I have had canons for over 20 years, my recent one is a Pro 100. Never encountered this specific problem.

WeTransfer is very simple and free.

Agree. I find WeTransfer very reliable and easy to use. And 2 TB for free is a bargain.

I have a Canon 80D. Got a ā€œprimeā€ lens. People call it a nifty 50. 1.4. Problem is on my 80D itā€™s a nifty 80. So when Iā€™m in ā€œprimeā€ situations I use my 18-135 zoom. Thatā€™s my ā€œgo toā€ lens 95% of the time.

Yes like someone else said. I never remove the card from my camera. I have a new 128gb card in the camera and a spare 64 in my bag. Always download the card but leave the pics on there until I have everything backed up on several ext drives.

I will probably keep them. Like I said itā€™s been a year since completing it. Havenā€™t tossed them yet. Everything I have is on 3 external drives. Iā€™ll entrust those to family members. Iā€™m sure the slides will be tossed eventually. But the responses were interesting. More people than not keep them.

My wife was an archivist and always advised anyone to PRESERVE THE ORIGINAL!

Technology advances, and there may be in the future better ways to mitigate problems with the original source. If you have the space to store the old slides (4000 slides should fit in a cubic foot or less), do it.

Interesting. I got the same advice from my daughter and a 16 year old grandson.

I spent months scanning old slides with an Epson 550 scanner. About 4,000 slides. Theyā€™re from 1969 into the 80ā€™s. The slides themselves are in terrible shape. They have a purple cast over most of them. Oxidation and age Iā€™m guessing. Basically theyā€™re useless. The scanner made them decent. The plan was to toss them when I was done. That was about a year ago. But I canā€™t do it. I feel like theyā€™re a piece of me. Anyone experience this?

Just received a letter from them yesterday. They cancelled my account due to inactivity. I did use the account over the years. I guess not enough to satisfy them. I didnā€™t know banks still did that. Whatever, just a heads up.

Just a quick note and thanks again for all your input. I did purchase a stroboframe 350 and a connector from Vello. I had the opportunity to try it out this past weekend. A family birthday. It worked nicely. It adds weight and is a bit cumbersome but Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll get used to it. I thought when I posted I had this ā€œuniqueā€ problem. Shows what a novice I am in certain areas. Thatā€™s why I like this place. The info is priceless.

If so, that would be a serious disadvantage to Godox. My Nikon flash retains TTL no matter how it's positioned. Do you still get consistent exposures when bouncing?

I havenā€™t tried it often. But I think when I did the exposures weā€™re ok. But Iā€™m going to play with it again. I have to dig deeper into the flash functions. To me the flash settings become complicated especially when you donā€™t use the TTL mode. I appreciate your responses.

I shoot Nikon, with an older SB600 speedlight. It has a swivel head, so I can turn it straight on or up with vertical shots. I bounce off the ceiling if it's low enough, and attach a small white card with a rubber band to add fill light to the shadows under the nose, eyebrows, etc. By shooting TTL, I have no problems other than the height and color of the ceiling.

That is interesting. I like to shoot TTL however when I move my Godox to any position other than the normal straight on position, the TTL indicator disappears. So Iā€™m not sure if the function works when bouncing.

The reactions youā€™re showing are between extremely dilute acids and bases. Nitric at a pH of 3 will barely irritate your skin as well as a base of pH 11. What people are trying to say here is that mixing highly concentrated solutions of the ones mentioned can cause irreparable harm. The chemicals mentioned here do not even fall on the pH scale. This thread has gone beyond the realm of reason.
TO THE OP. DONā€™T EVEN CONSIDER IT!
