Just received a letter from them yesterday. They cancelled my account due to inactivity. I did use the account over the years. I guess not enough to satisfy them. I didn’t know banks still did that. Whatever, just a heads up.

Just spend $20 every couple of months. Works for me. You'll find something easily with the daily Deal Zone sales.

Actually, banks are now much more on top of that than they used to be. Many banks will now cancel credit cards when there is no activity for over a year. This is actually a good thing for many people. It removes the possibility of your identity being stolen for those unused cards, and having too many active credit cards can have an adverse impact on your credit rating.

Happened to me to. Last year CitiBank cancelled a MasterCard I used rarely, if at all.

FYI, cancelled cards can also adversely affect your credit rating, just a fact.

Cheers and best to you.

Received a similar notice from Commenity for an Eddie Bauer branded card I hadn't used since pre-Covid. It gave about a 2 month window to make a purchase to keep it active. I ended up making a purchase in the time frame -- which generated a message from one of the credit tracking agencies I use for protection that a "dormant" credit card had been used. So, yes, Commenity does cull accounts... and the financial world does know what goes on.
