Very well could be the same lens cut in half...ya gotta allow some room for the saw kerf and the clean up of each side.

Actually it looks like the same half lens turned around and made to look like two halves. Look at the serial number on the top and the switch on the bottom side.

We are heading next month on a cruise to the Panama Canal. We have been on this cruise once before and taking it again because we loved Cartagena. This time instead of going to Aruba we will be stopping in Jamaica the port is Falmouth. As in all our past cruises we do not book shore excursions with the ship. I usually find a good driver and say this is what all I want to see. I have gone over what to see and do in Jamaica now a dozen times. I like to do people and street photography and places of interest. I know they have the falls but as all 4 of us or not in any condition to climb it we will not do that. But I would like to hear from anyone that can help me in what to see and if we are safe hiring our own cab driver. Thank you ahead of time for any help I can get.

If you've been there multiple times you probably know more than most of us responding. Especially the snarky ones. My suggestion would be to talk to the activities counter (informally) on the ship. They usually know someone dependable to hire.
We've always found it better than the organized and less crowded to hire our own. They will also know the best places to take pictures. Good luck and have fun.

Ok. I thought about recommending another photographer but I don’t want any of my associates to have a bad experience.

You don't have to recommend anyone. Just tell her/them someone else would be better. Follow your gut instinct and run away. If she's whining now it will only get worse. IMHO

Read through the list and was surprised no one gave you the right answer. To photograph white scenes you need to set your camera EV to +1.5-2. Otherwise your camera makes it grey.

If you have a postprocessing program like Lightroom you can increase the exposure there. It will work better if you saved your images as RAW files.

Thanks IDguy,
That does make sense. I only have the Nikon postprocessing program and haven't had a lot of luck with it even. I'll admit I've only spent a few hours with it. I need to learn something beyond what the Windows photo does. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'll give it a try next time it snows here.

Pop a flash on with a diffuser set it to manual 1/8 power to pop the flakes out or adjust to suit.

Thanks for the response Daniel,
I put my speedlight on later and it did work. I just found it amazing that it wasn't showing up on the regular shots. So evident in my vision. Oh well.

Beautiful portraits of your girls, and what an incredible story!!

Thanks Dixiegirl. They have been an adventure. Been a long time since I've had two kittens running around. They are both bundles of love.

I would like to hear experiences of those Photographer's using the Nikon 18-140 lens, which I just purchased a few weeks ago, although have not had opportunity to use it very much as yet. Only a few times now and mine seems to perform well. Thanks.

I bought my 18-140 with my D5600 and rairly take it off the camera. I'm no pro but I find it sharp effective. Not the fastest lens out there but the camera takes care of me with VR and handles higher ISO without too much noise. In short I love it.
