Our two rescue girls. Cinder the tuxedo and Ember the full figured black. They were named from the fact that they were born during a total loss house fire. They, two siblings and their mother we're found in a puddle in the house. They are very bonded to each other and to us.
Enjoy.

Amazing story and congats to you for the rescue. I’ve had kitties in my life (until recently) since college and all were rescues. After the last one pasted over the bridge, my wife & I now have two small pups.

Thanks for the reply Dave Sorry to hear about your loss. I'm sure the pups are filling the space in your hearts. We've had rescues most of my life too.

Is there a difference between rescue taking one no else wants?

Yes, dogs have owners, cats have staff.

These were litterally rescued by firemen from the house. See attached. The real difference with most rescue animals is they are usually born into less than ideal circumstances vs. a breader. Some are surrendered by folks that cannot take care of them. Some are offspring of feral animals, etc. We got our girls from St Louis Pet Rescue. The folks in the house suddenly found themselves homeless and could not keep the cats.

I love firemen. If only more people had their attitude.
