Maybe it’s too hot and they’re all inside.

Either the Nikon D7500 or the Canon EOS 80D. Those two cameras are pretty compatible. The D5600 is more of an intermediate beginner’s camera. I don’t know anything about the other two.

There’s not really a sharp focus point. It’s somewhat soft. I don’t pick up much noise until it’s enlarged quite a bit.

That applies mostly for Nikon cameras and lenses.

I have one that I still shoot with. If the lens is clean, even THAT is worth the 20 bucks.

After revisiting the instruction sheet regarding the OS (Optical Stabilization) feature of the lens, (if all else fails read the instructions [AGAIN] ) I think that I've discovered what I was doing wrong. At first I had the OS setting on #2, and secondly when it was set on #1 I wasn't giving the feature enough time to focus and stabilize the image which the sheet stated was about 1/2 second after pushing the shutter release down half way and holding it there. I'll give it another try later in the week.

They are very nice subjects, but as you said, except for the third shot, the focus could definitely be better. Especially on the last one.

A poor choice of heading for sure, but read the ACTUAL NIKON LENS DESIGNATIONS to see what is fact.
AF-D in DXO's header simply states that the comparison presented covers Nikons AF lenses that contain the "D" communication chip in them. The "D" has NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH THE AUTOFOCUS SYSTEM. Plain and simple.

And please quit yelling.

Sorry but there is no such thing as an "AF-D" lens.
AF, AF-I, AF-S, and AF-P. The only one that will NOT autofocus on the Z bodies with the FTZ adaptor are the AF lenses.

We camped at the canyon several years ago and scouted out Sedona while we were there...Loved it!

Northern Arizona truly is beautiful. Sedona, Page, and, of course, the Grand Canyon.
