I think this discussion has run its course. Yes I’m into blurred pictures. Thanks for your input.
Thank you for all the input. Never. Always. Sometimes.
I actually thought there would be a consensus. But this is UH. Why would this topic be any different than most?
I will probably go back to my old technique and set the ISO low and my f stop to get the best DoF and adjust my speed for the best exposure.
Thank you all again for the time and effort you put into your responses.
In taking a long exposure photo, say 2 seconds, would you ever keep your camera on auto ISO? Most cases I am shooting with Aperture priory and Auto ISO. For this discussion I would be shooting a landscape photo at dusk or in the dark.
Every time I exit LR I backup my work on my iMac hard drive (as opposed to’skip this time’). I just realized that each backup is not overriding the last back up and I have 56 gb of backups. I need space on my hard drive.
Do I need to manually need to delete all the backups except the most recent, or is there a setting to do this automatically?
Also, I am backing my LR to an external hard drive about once a month. That means the hard drive backup is redundant except for most recent work.
Second question, how should I address my workflow relative to the back up?
No. Maybe I’ll check it out. Does the teleconverter negate the exception glass of 24-70mm?
Thanks Jerry.
Most helpful.
Thanks. What about from 28-70?
I have a Death Valley trip planned. To get the sharpest shots with my d810 is there a noticeable difference between the nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 and the Nikkor 28-300mm f3.5 at the wide angle range? Both are AF lenses.
I an using LR Classic CC and a Canon Pro-10. Also using ProMaster Ultra Premium print Paper.
I have downloaded the specific ICC profile for the specific printer and paper but can not figure out how to get it into LR/Print/Color Management /Profile. How do I get it into the Color Management section? Color match from my Mac to the printer is abysmal.
Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.
On this topic. I had been told to change my RAW files to black and white I should go to the color Tab and take all the Saturation to 00. What are the plus/minus of this method?
You’ve never had a card fail but you use small cards in case your card fails. Huh?
Thanks. That’s great info.
Maybe you could have that argument in chit chat. Still interested in an answer. I’ve seen and take awesome pictures with my iPhone when my Nikon d810 is with me.
