PhotoPlus Expo is this weekend in NYC, and there are trade show specials available. B&H emailed this today.

Nikon usually has sales around Mother’s Day through Father’s Day, and again for Black Friday through Christmas/New Year. Definitely worth waiting. B&H Photo often throws in a free gift, such as a camera bag, extra battery, etc.
Glad you caught it in time! A few years ago at my annual checkup, the doctor found a torn retina. He said it must have happened recently, because there was still blood on the tear. Although he can fix tears with a laser, mine was in an odd spot just below the iris. It required a special lens to bend the laser beam back at a sharp angle to hit that spot. Sent me to a retinal specialist, who used a laser to weld it back together.
There are web sites that give the Aurora forecast.

Who knows, they may send you a knock off or something. Then when you tell all your friends about this great deal, the “store” will have a slew of new visitors (and potential victims for credit card fraud, malware, etc.).

Someone above mentioned the built-in focus motor on the D7500. Here is a handy chart that shows which lenses work on each Nikon model.

Another thing regarding liability - some venues require you to show proof of liability coverage in order to photograph there. I saw this mostly with wedding receptions, but could apply to any event, such as a party. Companies that insure photographers have a certificate they fax to the venue for this purpose.

Ashampoo Software also has previous versions of their products as freeware. I haven’t tried their Photo Commander or Photo Optimizer, but I have the free Burning Studio 2018 and like it.
