No. What do you think it will add?

FF: depending on mp, a larger pixel pitch=lower noise.

I'm a Canon shooter but I'd say the 850 will produce better images than the 500..... by a little

What Paul said is quite correct.
I have both the ring and no ring adapters and use them, with my R and R5, for all the EF lenses I collected over the years. I also use the adapters with my Sigma 150-600 lens with no problems. I would recommend the Canon branded adapters as I have found them reliable and they connect electrically with the camera. Extension tubes should work the same as they do with your Canon SLR cameras.

FWIW, I bought a Meike (only ~$60) as soon as I got my R5. It's performed perfectly. Works with my Tamrons and even with extension tubes.

I own an R5 and 7D II. Love both. The R5 is about 200 grams lighter (based on this comparison--R vs 7D https://cameradecision.com/compare/Canon-EOS-R-vs-Canon-EOS-7D

And, if you're awash with cash, the RF 70-200 f/2.8 is compact and a lot lighter than the EF version. As the R bodies have somewhat improved low light performance, you could also consider the RF 70-200 f/4....

Uh huh. It was never a question at all.
The model names are all "R" series.

"R" is the whole story right there .... unless someone is living under a rock these past few years.

Agreed. I was being nice. I've noticed it is not always practiced here.....

Maybe the bigger question is what lens mount will they have ??

I suppose so, but a quick read of the announcement and/or brief reviews, would have shown that the bodies are RF mount.

I have 3 copies of everything... and a couple empty drives ready for when they're needed. I sometimes go out shooting a lot. My R5 can shoot 8 k raw video. Big files. When I edit, I save the best as .tiff files, which are ~256 mb!

Gotcha. That $50 off didn't show up in my search..or I missed it. (Just searched again and $40 off is showing for me, fwiw) I' m not looking for an 8tb anyhow, having sold 4 8's and a 10. I'll be adding some 14's this winter, (or whatever size is on sale at the lowest $/tb) when the best deals show up... and again will take advantage of WD's 15% off coupon for recycling an old drive.

He’s trippin’. Those are just hard drives, not SSD’s. He’s also tripping if he thinks hooking up 4 external drives through USB is anyway to run a RAID.

Even then, I question whether he got new ones for $100 at Costco. I keep upgrading my external WD's. I buy when there's a discount, and prefer to wait until WD has their best sales, and time it for when rakuten has cash back points of 10% or more. Plus, I send a junk HD of any size to WD for their 15% off unlimited coupon. That way, I've gotten two 12 tb and three 14's for exceptional prices. (2 were at bestbuy as they also had a 15% off coupon for recycling.... ) Anyhow, I've sold four 8 tb's in the last 12-16 months.... got about $105 for the used ones and 115-120 for 2 new Seagates) I even let a low hours 10 tb go for ~$115..... Right now, 8tb externals are $169 @ Costco.. were they ever $100? Maybe.

I've had great luck with WD externals... I've shucked a few..they're WD Reds... nothing wrong, just shorter warranties.
