For better or worse, I doubled down on a new EM-1 Mark III. I too am a major Oly fan. After using Sony and Nikon, I settled on Olympus for their size, weight, features and awesome lenses. They have been running crazy sales on their cameras -- too bad they don't offer the same discounts for their pro lenses.

If you enjoy pictures of gorgeous old cars and custom Hot Rod builds that I have built or worked on and photographed. Please take a look and download. This will be the first series displayed. I would appreciate your comments. I have had over 50 years in the automotive industry and also photography. I am now retired and enjoy doing commercial photography and Photographing cars. Thank You, Mike Please Enjoy!

This car here was my personal car. It came out of Colorado with lots of bullet holes in it but it was a steel body and that's what mattered. Its a 1935 Ford that I built many years ago back in the late 1980 and I finished it in 1991 about 3 years to build. I photographed it about 6 years ago. Mike

Mark,

Think about buying now or watch for a sale. I bought an OMD-E M-10 Mark III and studied it for days before taking a trip. These cameras are complex and hard to master unless you are already familiar with them. FWIW, the kit lens is very nice when travelling, covering many shooting situations.

Good advice -- allow time to get familiar with a new camera before taking it on a trip, and Olympus is running some really good sales from time to time now.

Dear Kean Elementary School,

God bless you for the beautiful radio I won at your recent senior citizens luncheon. I am 84 years old and live at the Springer Home for the Aged. All of my family has passed on. I am all alone now and it’s nice to know that someone is thinking of me. God bless you for your kindness to an old forgotten lady. My roommate is 95 and has always had her own radio, but before I received one, she would never let me listen to hers, even when she was napping. The other day her radio fell off the night stand and broke into a lot of pieces. It was awful and she was in tears. Her distress over the broken radio touched me and I knew this was God's way of answering my prayers. She asked if she could listen to mine, and I told her to kiss my ass.

Thank you for that opportunity.

Sincerely,

Agnes Jones

Thanks from me too. I may not post much, but follow UHH daily for tips, information, and inspiration. A biggie for me is finding out where not to shop for equipment, since reading UHH can cause GAS.

since the new models came out there are some good prices on the Olympus EM 1 Mark ll, the Panasonic/Leica 100-400 lens is still not cheap, but it is a fantastic lens for birding at 200-800 mm at 2X crop factor.

I second this combination.

I’ve got my asbestos underwear on so here goes. Olympus OM-D E-M1 mk3 with Olympus 40-150 f/2.8 and Olympus TC2.0. Gives you FF eq 160-600 f/5.6 in a lighter, better handling package. All IMHO of course. Rent one for a week or two from lensrentals.com you’ll buy it.

Do not know them where are they located. I live in De. Are they fair $ on there trade in pricing. As well as new purchase prices. Currently use Auorama. Now shooting with Canon SL2 with 16 to 300 Tamron zoom Need wide angle for community newsletter and zoom for travel considering small lighter Canon with wide and long zoom. Suggestions please

I usually buy only new stuff, but thought I would give KEH a try because of their reputation here on UHH. I am more than happy with the lens I bought from them.

I don't know what this is. It goes from one room through the wall into another room. It is at a former working newspaper office. Can someone help me to determine what it is, can it be safely removed, is there a valve in it.

It's a process camera, used to shoot line shots and halftones for the printing industry. Ortho film was used. The negatives were then used to burn plates for offset presses. The camera back uses a vacuum pump to hold the film in place. The lights could be wired to high voltage.

I’m getting a refurbished Olympus OMD E-M5II camera and I was wondering if any of the aftermarket battery brands are any good.

I have Wasabi batteries for my EM-10, and Kastar batteries for my EM1 ii, and have had no problems. I like the third party chargers since they don't have a line cord to deal with (easy traveling).
