Just in time for the holidays - What are some of your favorite plug-ins for Photoshop and Lightroom? I'm interested in what you really like, especially if they're not widely known. If you can, leave a brief description and a link.

I use the Topaz Plugins for Photoshop quite extensively www.topazlabs.com I use the legacy products, which are no longer sold or supported, but Topaz Studio has all of them available.

https://seimeffects.com/ for Filmist film emulation presets and the unbelievable Silver B&W conversions
https://northrup.photo/ for Tony's Technical and Chelsea's Creative Lightroom presets.
https://sellfy.com/joeallam?gspk=am9lYWxsYW0x&gsxid=rpR0eLiv4SlK Joe Allam's Urban Chrome presets
https://www.anthropics.com/ Landscape Pro for sky presets.

I also have the NiX set, but do not use them much anymore.

OK, I'd planned to post some examples this morning, but life got in the way. Here's a few (prices are for new users, not for upgrades):

- XNSketch - produce pencil drawings and similar art from photos. Free. https://www.xnview.com/en/xnsketch/

- Spektrel Art - Otherworldly transformations. $20. https://jixipix.com/spektrel-art/details.html

- Landscape Pro Studio - Sky replacements and other modifications of outdoor photos. $60. https://www.anthropics.com/landscapepro/

- Helicon Focus Pro Lifetime License. Great focus stacking tool. $160. https://www.heliconsoft.com/heliconsoft-products/helicon-focus/

- Dynamic Auto Painter Pro. Convert photos into a variety of painting styles. $89. https://www.mediachance.com/dap/

- Aurora HDR. Good, easy HDR. $99. https://skylum.com/aurorahdr

- Photosketcher. Another program to turn photos into "art." Free. https://fotosketcher.com/

- Photomatix Pro - the granddaddy of HDR programs. Still a great option. $99. https://www.hdrsoft.com/

- Flood 2. Adds water and reflections. A fun little program. $33. http://www.flamingpear.com/flood-2.html

- NIK Suite. A set of 6 programs producing outstanding results in BW conversion, noise reduction, color effects, etc. $100. https://nikcollection.dxo.com/

I really like the Topaz products, especially DeNoise AI and Sharpen AI. I think they're on sale right now.

Although I haven't used it in years, I have to say that the flood filter is one of my favorites!

Topaz. It offers sliders and does a good job with sharpening, details, denoise, and others. I use it frequently.

I have Topaz, On1 and Nik plugins. Without a doubt, Nik is my #1 go to in my workflow.

Topaz, On 1, Portrait Pro. Please note that Topaz has been having difficulties with its latest releases—Studio and Studio 2.

Hi not trying to be a dick here but if you took a few courses in Photoshop you will see you can do everyting you want to do without presets and all these plug-ins right in Photoshop Creative live has over 20 different classes on lightroom and Photoshop and they are very extensive and offer them from time to time very cheap once you buy the course you have it forever to go back to its all videos and they supply the work materials google it and see what they have a lot cheaper then buying the plug-ins

For PSE I use ON1 Resize. Think I paid $59. Great program for creating very large files for printing.

It would be helpful to know which plugins are best used/preferred for WHAT types of post processing situations. Thanks in advance.

I use most of the NIk (now DxO) plug-ins, but especially Color efex, Vivezia and Silver efex. I just got Luminar 4 and like it a lot. I also use Flood occasionally.
