My bad. If you search for the lens on Adorama there are 4 different options for the same lens, each with a different package. The cost is about the same for each.
I'm looking at the Canon 70 - 300 L zoom. I just came across Adorama pricing http://www.adorama.com/CA70300LUNK.html . I'm a B&H customer (happy new year Hershel) and their price point is in line with Adorama, but what am I missing. Just promos or what? Gray market or re manufactured goods? Inquiring minds just want to know.

I agree with both the FZ1000 and the SX50. Both are a lot of camera for the money. You can also look at the new Canon at $1,000 it should get your attention.

It's the same camera as the Panasonic FZ1000 which is $300 - 400 cheaper.
