I have a Fuji XPro1 and realize that Aperture does not support RAW images.I know Aperture is not supported by APPLE.I still use it. I have yet to migrate my images to Lightroom, but hesitate as I have no clue how to do this for fear of losing information. SO..........
1. What is a compatible PP program for Fuji ?
2. HOW to migrate my 70K photos to a PP such as Lightroom or other?
3. SIMPLE directions on how to do this.

Thanks friends.

Since Star Wars is a big hit and a resurgent
interest, here is a clever way to keep the interest of your subjects. All you will need is a pez dispenser and a nail file or metal file from your tool box.
The basic base of the pez dispenser is a bit too wide for the hotshot of a camera. So, gently file it down until it fits. Don't over file. To have it slightly snug is ok as the plastic may wear down a bit.

Collect dispensers to fit the theme or occasion. GREAT when photographing kids!

Go online. Mueller company of Prairie du Sac WI sells comfortable hand brace for thumb. Wear it at night to stabilize your hand. The brace is lightweight and can be worn during the day while you photograph. See a hand surgeon if need be. Usually the patient knows when they can't tolerate the discomfort and surgery may be then indicated. For some reason pain meds don't help much for this joint do don't assault your stomach/ liver with trying all sorts of NSAIDS, Tylenol etc

I have a Huey device but have no clue what to do with it. I have Aperture for my 70 K photos. Would like to try Lightroom but am freaked to upload it. I have no clue how to do that and am fearful my files won't upload correctly.
Anyone out there in That knows Lightroom ,Apple, and Nikon well enough to walk me through it?

I guess the main reason I ask these questions is that I want to be sure I've nailed the color when I upload and send out for printing. I have found White House Color out of Eagan MN and found there work to be excellent. The only issue is when the image seems bright enough and perfect on my screen, it prints a bit darker. I am not sure how much brightness I should set my screen for. I wish all monitors were calibrated the same to avoid this problem. You never know the setting on another monitor so your image could look like a silk purse on your but on their it is a sows ear.

My Nikon D7000 and D90 are both set to sRGB

The other option is ADOBE RGB

What is the difference? Which is better?

Thanks

Please tell me the correct color setting for my Mac Book Pro and my Nikon D7000 and D90. What color option should be used on each? Do they'd to be the same?
On Mac Book, options are:I have no clue what to check.
Color LCD
Color LCD (calibrated)
Adobe RGB (1998)
Epson PJ
Generic RGB Profile
LED Cinema display
sRGB IEC611966-2.1
Thunderbolt display
THEN what color option to select form on Nikon ?

I still use Aperture for PP. Is there anything to set there that I need to do based on above settings?
Thank you for any suggestions.

I sold the D50 to a boy who really loved photography. Oh well. Now to design a system that will be reliable. I did send the D7000 back once for the back focusing problem. But obviously for naught.

My Nikon D7000 is a lemon. Continuous back focusing problems
I want a simple system...not a lot of gear to haul or I will need to hire a sherpa.
These are my requirements for a replacement:
1. Lightweight
2. simple menu
3. can activate remote flash
4. I don't need 2 card slots
5.I don't use 80% of the features of my D7000, (i.e.Qmode,Stored programs, Video) I only shoot photos
6.Will work well with f2.8 17-55 lens and f 1.8 50 mm lens
7.Is not possessed and has a good track record.
8. Will do well with portrait work and school events-volleyball/basketball)

Camera I have had remarkable success with... Nikon D50 EVERY image I shot was pristine. D7000 is horrible.

Have looked at D5300 D5500 D3300

So, fellow photographers using Nikon....what is your recommendation?
