I have this lens and it is not a macro lens. What is though is an extremely sharp lens with very good contrast. I use this manual focus lens on my Nikon Z6 with the LTZ adapter and it works great.

The Nikon Z6 is supposed to be better for video than the Z7.

All Nikon F glass works with the LTZ adapter. One of my favorite lenses on my Nikon F4 is the
Nikon 105mm F2.5. This lens is a legacy super lens from the 70's and works great on my Z6 with the LTZ adapter and of course this is a manual focus lens. Focus peaking works fine on the Nikon Z6 with this lens.

I have two digital cameras (Fuji XT2 and Nikon Z6). Recently I have been shooting film with my old Nikon FE and have been having a ball with this manual film camera.

I took this drug for 20 years for lupus. The drugs name was Plaquenil. The only side effect that I experienced is eye damage. In fact, you are supposed to get a baseline eye exam and subsequently an eye exam every year or two. Eventually, I had to stop this drug in 2000 because it affected my eyes.

How is the clarity and black and white rendition of the 105mm 2.5 AI lens? I will be using this 105 on my Nikon FE.

I would keep the XT2 and forgo the XT30. Save your money and purchase an XT4 with image stabilization, larger battery and other useful features.

I have had Many Lowepro bags over the years. If you look at Lowepro bags empty they weigh a considerable amount. I now use F Stop bags all have an internal frame and weigh considerable less than Lowepro camera bags. F Stop bags are extremely comfortable.

The best backpack that I have ever owned, and I've owned several is the F Stop Ajna bag with a medium slope ICU (internal camera unit). They are having a 30% of sale through 4/28/2020. Check them out.

I have an Induro CLT203 carbon fiber and it has been used in pretty rough terrain over the past few years and looks like the day I bought it. Induro makes outstanding tripods. They're not cheap, yet Induro tripods are built well and last as long as the more expensive tripod brands. If you want to get away cheaper the Benro tripod line represents the biggest bang for your money.

B & W can be shot effectively during any part of the day with proper ND and polarizing filters since B & W photography is all about texture, light, and contrast. Color on the is better shot during the early morning or at sunset (or before or after). That's the neat part of B & W photography since it can be shot during any part of the day including at night.

Thank you for the link. I watched the entire video and set up my Nikon Z6 accordingly. His explanations for the various settings was wonderful and easy to follow. Thanks again for your help.

Very impressive still lifes. Especially appreciate that the pipes are lit and the tea is hot. Your lighting, prop set up, set design and photography are wonderful.

I have both a Fuji XT2 with three lenses(eg, 18 to 55 2.8/4, 50 2 and 10 to 24 4) and a Nikon Z6 with a 14 to 30 4. I really do not favor the Fuji over the Nikon since both cameras focus about the same, are both robust and dynamic. The Fuji XT3 is more fun to use then the Nikon but I appreciate the full frame of the Nikon Z6. I really do not favor either camera over the other since they are so different.
