Never too old learn something new. Even though this goes against almost everything I've been taught, it makes very good sense.

Good information. Thanks for sharing :)

Why didn't I think of that 😕. Anyway, I googled like you suggested and based on what I read (thank you very much CHG_CANON), I WILL NOT be placing an order through them. Too good to be true.

Are these too good to be true: http://www.thedigitalpros.com/item.htr?id=33362

Canon 70D bundles. Some without lens, some with lenses.

Anyone ever buy from here. They advertised on this site.

Sorry, but I see nothing 'naughty' about Tina

But I would like to know a little bit more of how you shot these very nicely done photos of Tina. i.e.,Camera? settings? artificial lighting? If its not too much trouble.

hi Everyone,

I have been getting more and more into photography, and recently bought myself a starter camera and a few lenses.

I hope to learn from everyone on here.

Hello Brad and welcome. When you get a little more comfortable, maybe you can tell me a little about B & H Photo Store, located somewhere in New York

I basically think of the APS-H as full frame. A 1.3x crop factor is such a small difference that it's not really worth making a big deal over today.

Thanks Amehta, can always count on your for sound advice.

Consider that it requires a full frame lens but never uses the full frame. It was a solution for a limitation that no longer exists. If it where such a great idea why is it (I believe) the only one of it's type. One of natures mistakes.
You'll be glad to not have bought it.

Thanks

Well think of it this way, if you did have your camera with you then you might not have had experience the subtle interaction with these wildlife creatures. Sometimes it's more memorable to view them straight on then through a viewfinder. You experienced Gods creatures with no distractions. :)

Amen.

Ed, jeepdaddy does raise a good point.
Weatherproofing and 10 fps are not to be sneezed at.
If you only want to show on screen or print at 8x12 then this may be a very good option. (even aside from what the rest of us have said).
If it turned out that you photographed a lot of dusty rodeos or something similar, then this would be a perfect cheap option.
Only you know what you will use it for, if it is the right tool for the job and the recent options are thousands more, do not let our negativity dissuade you.

Good points Lighthouse. I understand exactly what you are saying, thank you, and all of the other's suggestions. I was surprised that no one mention; pro or con about the APS-H sensor. Which is in between the APC-S & the full frame sensors. The FF is out of my budget right now excluding the 6d.

None of the comments or suggestions were ever taken negatively. I use all information to help me form a positive decision on my part. That's why I usually thank everyone who gives suggestions or their opinions.

I know people that still use that camera to this date. It's a fine camera, just has fewer megapixels. It shoots at 10fps. Superfast!

Thank you. But I think I will move on. I got a few good responses. Most think it would be a step backwards. No longer looking at it.

I have an opportunity to purchase a very good used Canon Eos 1d Marklll, 10 megapixels. Price--$999

This would be a back up for my Canon 60D. It would also be replacing my well used Canon 20D. Any thoughts or opinions would be welcome.

Thanks to all those who have responded to my post. I have taken your advice and I am no longer considering this purchase.

Once again, thank you.

Unless you really need the weatherproofing, I would consider that a step backward.
