All great information! Thanks everybody.
I have a relative who is a dentist. He has a Canon T6 with the standard 18-55 kit lens and can’t get a decent photo inside a patient’s mouth. I made several suggestions, including a macro lens (60 or 100), and possibly a ring light. If anyone has experience for this application I would be grateful. Thanks in advance.
Look at the first picture.
Sorry, I miss typed. It was supposed to say “...taken moments before the green flash...”. This is the Etruscan Vase... two different observations.
This image, taken moments the "Green Flash", was deemed the "Etruscan Vase" by Jules Verne.
Here's how Jules Verne describes an inferior mirage sunset.[1]
All eyes were again turned towards the west. The sun seemed to sink with greater rapidity as it approached the sea ; it threw a long trail of dazzling light over the trembling surface of the water ; its disk soon changed from a shade of old gold, to fiery red, and, through their half-closed eyes, seemed to glitter with all the varying shades of a kaleidoscope. Faint, waving lines streaked the quivering trail of light cast on the surface of the water, like a spangled mass of glittering gems. Not the faintest sign of cloud, haze, or mist was visible along the whole of the horizon, which was as clearly defined as a black line traced on white paper. Motionless, and with intense excitement, they watched the fiery globe as it sank nearer and nearer the horizon, and, for an instant, hung suspended over the abyss. Then, through the refraction of the rays, its disk seemed to change till it looked like an Etruscan vase, with bulging sides, standing on the water.
According to Wikipedia... "The green flash and green ray are meteorological optical phenomena that sometimes occur transiently around the moment of sunset or sunrise. When the conditions are right, a distinct green spot is briefly visible above the upper rim of the Sun's disk; the green appearance usually lasts for no more than two seconds".
While at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, CA, I feel lucky to capture the elusive "green flash" on the horizon. It's kinda funny, some people say "I see that all the time", while others say that they have never seen it. Taken with Sony RX10M4. Thanks for looking.
How old is this IPad? I assume it has WiFi (I know it does). Imaging Edge uses the WiFi on the camera to connect to an IPad or a smartphone. I have the rx10 and you just follow directions and establish a WiFi connection between the camera and the IPad. Transfers are very fast. You do not need to use an adapter. Also, you can download the manual for the rx10 from the Sony website. It has detailed instructions. Please excuse me if I mis-understood you objective. Also very handy, you can use the IPad as live view, camera remote! The way I read your post was that you think something is wrong with the camera, I assure you, this is far from the truth.
Just photographed a Wheelchair tennis tournament and the participants were very excited to see images of themselves in the “heat of battle” I know it is no portraiture, but here are a couple of shots taken with a RX10M4.
