We do have a lot but the squirrels all look healthy. We have a lot of woods between our lot and our neighbors. We live in a subdivision but we have one of the smaller lots, 5 1/2 acres. There is even a cougar that comes around. One of our neighbors found one of his nests. After Katrina the amount of our wild life went down big time. They seem to be coming back now.

Sounds like you have a buch of wildlife in your yard. My squirrels are pretty hard on the bird seed here too. But I give them corn on the comb and that helps. Sounds like it is time to thin them out tho. My Dad had the problem too. But he had so many they look like they were sick. I when down a shot about 90 of them in a week. A year later they were really good looking.

I wish I could feed the birds, but the squirrels think the food is for them. The first year we had tiny peaches on our peach tree they took care of them too. I tried putting corn out for the deer, the crows took care of that. In the summer I have to close off access to my tropical plants from one of our cats. The birds like to make nests in the plants and when the little ones are trying to fly one of our cats catches atleast one of them so now she is banned. I don't know what eats some of my outdoor plants. I'm not willing to stay up all night to find out.

How in the world were you able to catch the little guy to take him to the vet? Good pictures.

First let me say I know I watch too much tv. When they show criminalist taking pictures of bodies and other things there is always a wide white "thing" around the end of the lens. Does anyone know what that is and what the purpose is?

Thanks for the info. I don't think this is for me yet. I still have too much to learn before I can do anything with this lens.

Looking around on the web and came across this lens. Has any one heard about this lens and if so how good is it or how bad is it?

Tell Hubby not to tell stories in public-"what happens in the limo STAYS in the limo" IF he wants to keep his job. All it will take is for a friend of someone to overhear a "story" told in public and complain to the Limo Company. He should know better.

Actually what happened was outside the limo. Even the guy that it happened to had to laugh along with the others in the limo. I'd tell the story but it is way too long and one word he used wouldn't be good to put here. I will say he got wet from head to toe and he was in a costume.

Hi Kathy. No I must have done something at work. Went to bed fine and when I got up I could hardly walk. It is in my hip. But it is getting better. My hands are my big problem. Getting arthritis in my fingers pretty bad. To much hard labor I guess. But other than that I still feel like I am 30.:):) Well maybe 50.:)
Erv

Erv, Ouch! I hate it when I go to bed somewhat fine and get up hurting more than usual. I hope your arthritis stays in your fingers and doesn't go into your thumb. Last March I had surgery for Basal Joint Arthritis. Basal joint is the last joint of your thumb. It is still not well. I was told it was a bad surgery and that it would take a year to get over it. They were right. Getting the same thing in my other hand and I told the dr. that it could rot and fall off before I'd have that surgery again.

I'll have to show these to our friends. He has a model T truck and she has a model A car. I'll have to get them to pull them out into the yard to take some pictures. I never think about it when we have the time.

Oh the snow is pretty to me. We so seldom get snow down here. It is getting cold enough that I had to bring all of my plants in pots inside. Last year I wasn't able to bring them in and I lost almost everything. Told hubby I didn't plan to replace them, then they brought new plants for the office. He brought ALL of the old ones home for me. Now I have more than I did last winter.
