Hi There,

I saw this in our paper this morning about a photography who decided to take a 8x10 Deardorff view camera into the stampede and record images as they would 90 years ago. Very stunning both in quality of technique but also in nostalgia.

While I understand your sense of nostalgia, I would like to remind those of the era of Roy Rogers and Trigger

- Korean War - US interference.
- Cuba - US interference.
- Atomic Bomb production.
- Hydrogen Bomb production.
- LSD testing by U.S. Government on military personnel to promote a greater degree of aggression.
- lack of U.S. Government's support of equal rights.
- lack of support for middle class and lower class.

I have only mentioned a few of the problems that were not addressed during the time period. When I was six and seven, I too used to "ride" my horse - the back of our sofa- and watch the programs mentioned. I also agree with the lack of more intelligent programs on TV now but that can also be explained partly due to the number of stations that need programming.
As a father of two children of which I coach soccer for 22 years, and kept my children busy with other activities, there are some parents that are not able to either because of financial issues, lack of time due to work schedules or lack of interest. This is sad as our children will will grow to become the adults with the same traits BUT, the majority of children will become good parents as the past generations.

Give me a fair offer and we can talk. I will also need to know where to ship it in order to calculate shipping.

Thanks, Michael

1979, $350. Wanted good shots but we were disappointed. Photographer took the standard shots but used them the wrong film type all outdoor shots were incorrectly light balanced and over exposed by a stop. Photography didn't know where the church was so he followed my wife and parents to the church so we have no shots of her arriving. Received one 8x10 album,two5x7.

All pre-ai, ai and ai-s lens will meter with aperture priority with both canon, Sony and the new Pentax. Will need the adapter though which run between 20 and 300 dollars depending on the name brand you purchase. I use my nikkors on my canon and have great results. Much better lens build and finish. All metal and glass.

Set your camera to aperture priority and then focus, stop down and camera will set the shutter speed.

Just a comment. Is there a way to search topics for specific item? Such a Nikon ai lens in the buy or sell section.

Michael

Never mind, found it.

Don't know if you remember me but you were kind enough to send me a canon lens but it didn't seem to be working. I was finely able to figure out how to fix it. Thanks again for your thoughtfulness.

You need to find a newer chart! That one is two years old and very out of date! Check the lens compatibility:

My shooter, I reviewed the link you gave me but the use of vintage lenses with all nikons is incorrect. If you notice, the new Df is able to use the older lenses, not other nikons.

I would like to have a well kept Canon 1DS Mark ii. Body would be fine but if a wide angle zoom came with it that would be fine as well.

Hi there again,

I guess that I need to re-ask the question as most of the responses relate to either the merits of canon and nikon, or the lenses that i have. My question was whether a 16 mp full-frame sensor circa 2004 was as good or better than a 24mp crop sensor of today.

thanks in advance for the help.
