Lets have some fun. Lots of talk on this site about Wedding Photographers in the current day. But how about your wedding day. What year was your wedding, what did you pay your photographer, and what did you get for your money?

I'll start.
Wedding in 1959. Paid photographer $50. Got 10 8x10's in an album in black and white.

1966; friends and relatives; $0.00 Total cost of the wedding - dress and all - was about $300.

I don't look very happy in the shot below, do I? :D

It's awful, but looking back at our wedding pictures, I'm reminded of that line from Sixth Sense: "I see dead people."

$0 Wife's Friend with a box camera. Three shots. We eloped but three of her fiends went with us to the wedding. To tell the truth I have never felt bad about not have a lot of pictures. We were 18. 54 years later it just keeps getting better. - Dave

1999 Civil wedding. Friend with a P&S: $0.00.

2007 Renew vows in church ceremony. Friend had just bought a low end Nikon DSLR and wanted to start a wedding photography business.
He practiced on us and gave us the pictures for free. A couple of the 100+ images were actually pretty good.

August 1974. Not sure how much it cost. My wife paid the tab. Photographer had a limp fish handshake & missed many of the requested shots. The ones he did shoot turned out very good.

1985, wife's seven year old son was the photographer at the judges office. Got one photo of the deer head on the wall, one of a ten pound bass, one of me, the wife, and judge. Wife is kinda short, so me and the judge are just shoulders down.

I got married in 1970. we had a pro do our photos. don't remember what my mom paid for him to shoot. he was the same photographer who did my mom's wedding portrade, so 27 years earlier. so he was an old man. standard for that year was nothing creative. still love looking at them. still married to the same man. 45 years. deb

1979, $350. Wanted good shots but we were disappointed. Photographer took the standard shots but used them the wrong film type all outdoor shots were incorrectly light balanced and over exposed by a stop. Photography didn't know where the church was so he followed my wife and parents to the church so we have no shots of her arriving. Received one 8x10 album,two5x7.
