I have had very good performance and longevity with Eneloop rechargeables. I have had only occasional red indicators on my Panasonic chargers (indicates possible failed battery), but when I recharge that individual battery, it recharges just fine - so I think maybe dirty contact on battery or some other anomaly. I think I have had only 1 or two batteries to send to recycle over ~ 6 years out of about 50-60 batteries (mostly AA and a smattering of AAA). I would first try recharging only 4 at a time and then checking recharge on single batteries if you get an error indicator. And it might be worth getting a new/other recharging device (recommend the brand for your batteries) - it could be a defective or unworthy charger ?

Also, if you can get a phone down behind the monitor, you could take a picture and see the model number...

For Monitor Model Number: Look under "System Report" (or whatever the title is on Windows) for the section that reports all the Hardware, connected devices, etc. On my Macs the list is found under "About this Mac>Hardware>Graphics/Displays" . This reports the display (Monitor) model number, resolution, and other reports for the current monitor(s) connected.

Yup. You can put any digital image you can get your hands on in front of the sky replacement and resize the whole concoction to fit your wall. Voilá.

The sky replacement and NoNoise improvements blew me away - and I am an ON1 user from ~ 2014.

Best iphone app for manual camera is Halide (https://halide.cam). I find it pretty intuitive to use and website has good how-to use info.

Fred: I have been an ON1 user since 2014 and have had very few reasons to contact Support with questions. I think I can count on one hand the times I have requested support/help and have never had to wait more than 24 hours to be contacted - very efficient support personnel. They stay with me until I can verify that the fix or find works - patient, pleasant, knowledgeable support personnel. I am also a Plus subscriber and find great "How-To" videos, insights to uses of infrequently used functions. I generally update every other year when something is added that I will find useful. I used PS and LR for many years until I switched to ON1 and never looked back. Sounds like you have more than one subscription email address - if you talk to Support personnel, I feel confident they will work with you to clean up your account(s). PS is not less expensive - it likely has more capabilities overall, but the learning curve and ability to remember how to use all of the functions for infrequent use led me try and commit to ON1.

Another strong vote for Precision Colors ink and website. I refilled with their ink on my Epson R1900 until it aged out (mechanical issues, not inks or printheads). If you want to get started down the refilling path, Facebook acct: Jtoolman Photo Printing Techie is the home site for José Rodriguez' outstanding information and help and his YouTube site has upwards of 1500 videos on printers, refilling, problem-solving etc. Check out the Playlists for your printer, refilling how-tos.

I will begin to refill my new Epson XP-15000 printer as soon as I figure out how to go chip-less on my mac M1 computer setup (firmware is Window's based and I am not sure I want to risk attempting a firmware-disablement without understanding the process better.

You mentioned $542 without the shading hood. Is that something you would want to go without? Seems like it might be useful no?

Yes, I would buy a hood to fit (likely from BenQ). I do not have a hood for my NEC 24” and thus am limited on time of day hours for critical editing. So LG price goes up. I don’t think I really need the extra resolution, perhaps needed for gaming or video editing (?) and I don’t do either. I have feeling BenQ support and quality might have the edge.

I have been using an NEC PA241W for about 8-9 years for photo editing/printing. I calibrate the monitor about once monthly with an i! DisplayPlus tool. I am about to retire this monitor to a secondary screen and replace with a 27". Looking now at BenQ 270C - 2560x1440 ($799) or the LG 27UP850-W 27” UHD - 3840 x 2160 IPS ($542 without shading hood). Comments, all ?

I too am a jtoolman subscriber - lots of really good info, instructions, videos, etc. My Epson R1900 (pigment ink) finally died after years of service and I recently bought the Epson XP-15000 printer (die ink, 13x19" capable) for $359. I am impressed with the quality from only six ink cartridges. Prints are more brilliant than the R1900 and colors/detail at least as good or better.

BTW, any prints I make for posterity or sale, I spray with a protective/sealing coating with Moab Desert Varnish spray can, avoids long term fading for both pigment and die ink. Easy to apply, dries fast.

Hello!

I’ve been trying to get the silver Fujifilm X100V for over 2 months at this point. I’ve had it on backorder.

Does anyone know if it’s in stock in any stores around you (and not for $1800)?

Just wondering. I know it’s really popular and that there is low stock coming in still.

Just checked - Adorama and Amazon say they have them in stock....

The brightness you're experiencing will subside rather quickly and you'll consider your new sight to be normal. I didn't notice a temperature change. What I have had difficulty with is getting the proper correction for computer work. Reading is no problem with 1.75 but something at arm's length takes some experimenting.

Bob: I had that "intermediate distance focus" issue, as well after my cataract surgeries. Solved this handily with Foster Grant Multi Focus "advanced reading glasses" - sold in drugstores around here. I have the +2.75 version - which I think is the closest distance strongest level segment of the three segments of lens strength. I believe I use the strongest level for reading/closeups, the middle segment for computer use and the lowest level for interactions, conversations, signs, etc. Try them out - they are inexpensive....

"Can you sort the two images below? I sized them both to 3400 pixels on the long side (slightly below max resolution for one of them) -- enough to make a very good 16 x 20 print and more than enough for viewing on a typical display. Both used their respective standard zooms with close focus capability (both very good lenses). One of the two sensors is 95% larger than the other and one of the two sensors has 78% more pixel resolution than the other."[/quote]

Did you mean to include two different cameras for the same image ? I don't believe I can objectively review two different images for detail/quality of image resolution, etc.
