I recently downloaded the latest ON1 update. The sky replacement has been significantly improved. I tried it with several “tricky” photo—trees with lots of thin branches and spaces between the leaves, ships with lots of rigging and buildings with very thin spires. It worked nearly flawlessly. I’m impressed.

As am I. Their denoise works quite well, too.

I have been absent from the ON1 post-processing scene for a while, and after getting my account with them straightened out downloaded the latest (2022.5). The first thing I saw was the sky replacement, and the video they have on their site is quite impressive. Then, I saw Anthony Morganti's video on importing skies into ON1 and now I think I'm hooked!

I've seen lots of examples of "nearly flawless" sky replacement. It always means there's a flaw, and once you see it in a photo you can never unsee it.

In this instance, at least, nearly flawlessly means that almost all replacements are flawless, but very occasionally, one may not be absolutely flawless!! I suggest you check it out! You will be surprised!

I suggest additionally that you have a look at the other new enhancements in ON1; you'll not find any other software which can match it.

But one can always tackle those minor flaws afterwards with a little manual editing. Sky replacement doesn't really do anything one can't do manually, but it can save some time. Sometimes.

Pretty soon they'll have background and fore ground replacements as well and you won't need a camera any more.

Yup. You can put any digital image you can get your hands on in front of the sky replacement and resize the whole concoction to fit your wall. Voilá.
