With no audio or video recording of this conflict and exchange between Wilson and Brown, there is no proof of what actually t***spired. Don't make assumptions based solely on the confusing and continually changing story told by Officer Wilson. I disapprove of evolving stories that seem to alter as other facts or testimonies are presented and the GJ should have questioned this in depth.

Also, it's standard procedure for officers to fire a warning shot but in this case, the first round was aimed to maim and not as a warning. This is in direct conflict to all normal procedural practices. How does the officer know if the suspect is deaf or mentally incompetent? (it seems obvious that Officer Wilson was a lousy shot and should have been on restricted desk duty until his marksmanship improved)

Let me give you an example, because you took my comments to the extreme.

Lets imagine 2 kids go to school.
Same age, same clean life. Only difference? one is white and the other is black.
Unfortunately for one of them. the Principal discriminates, but not openly.
Both decide to do the same kind of prank.
White kid gets 1 day, but due of the principal being discriminatory towards minorities.. gives the black kid 2 days of detention.
When both get out. Black kid is now annoying he is getting more days.
White kid as 3 options, 2 which are negatives.
a) Positive: Accept the black kid's side and learn that the principal might be discriminatory.
b) negative: Deny that the principal could be r****t or discriminate.
c) negative: just ignore.

As the year goes, any prank by the white kid. he gets the "by the book" punishment. The black kid gets disproportionately worse punishments for doing the same.

Now lets imagine that the white kid followed the negative route of b or c in the above line.
Black kid is pissed that he is getting way worse punishment for doing absolutely the same as other white kids.

And here comes the kicker.
White kid gets "sick' of the black kid complaining about this and how its r****m.
And tells the black kid "Why you have to make this always about r****m?"

get my point? the white kid, unwillingly (or ignoring the bias of the principal) lashes at the black kid because he complained something might be r****t. conveniently "shutting him down".

This reaction is always 99% by White or non discriminated groups that never witnessed discrimination in front of them.
They think the system is always fair to everyone, and that the minorities just want "the cheap way" to solve their issues.
Now, those w****s who really understand the plig of minorities.. is because they at some point seen with open eyes the discriminatory (or r****t) practices of certain groups.
They seen and experienced what the others were suffering (even if they were not targeted themselves).

This bias can also be also of convenience..


Like those white retired people from the bible belt during the p**********l campaign of palin. Most of them were on medicaid and similar systems that gave them benefits and scooters for mobility.
Palin was doing famous speech extremely against these grants and benefits.
When a TV channel interviewed why these people would be against the grants they enjoy themselves.
They hilariously replied: "I do deserve my benefits, they should cut the freeloaders". or "as long they dont cut my benefits, they can cut everyone's!"

It's obvious that you have never been exposed to "MASS HYSTERIA" or r**ts in the streets.
Seems as if the rabilrousers have gathered up their flocks and gotten them all flustered because someone was actually not indicted for being a police officer. All the political big wigs have to put in their 2 cents and get their TV soundbites aired. It's a news media circus and when the simple folks get that r**ting going, things burn and people get shot and troops are called in to make the peace.

Same thing happened in Memphis when Martin Luther King got shot. R**ts, burned buildings and it all amounted to nothing except a vent for crowd hostility and rage.

Since 9/11, police departments nationwide have gotten all kinds of military equipment and just itching to have a use for it. Police are on edge and concerned for their own safety to the point that everyone is on edge and the drop of a hat can start r**ts in the streets.

Furthermore, the people who are starting these r**ts are probably not even residents of the municipality. They are simply opportunists taking advantage of the situation during the chaos.

When the government has been accused of having no consideration for individual privacy and the public has no consideration for private property, hostility seems to break out and is further fueled by mass media coverage.

I think part of the reason that Brits don't understand this is because you live in semi-socialist country where you've has free medical coverage for decades and public assistance programs and public housing projects and something called HONOR and self respect of the individual. Those are dwindling commodities in US cities where unemployment has skyrocketed.

This incident outside of St Louis was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
