the Plains of Abraham .

If you go to the Plains of Abraham, do not be surprised that they are not flat as the name implies. In French, they are called Pleines d'Abraham which translates to Fields of Abraham (the name of the farmer where the battle was fought).

Old Montreal and Old Quebec City and backroads between the 2 cities. You will be in tourist areas and most Quebecois speak at least some English. If you know any French, use it. It is appreciated. Almost always, though, they will answer you in English (especially if they see that you are struggling).

On the Canadian side, travel north from the Falls. There are a lot of interesting sights. Examples include: botanical gardens, butterfly place, historical sites, wineries, etc.

This probably won't help you, but in Canada, we have Canada 411 (computer search). This may be of interest to Canadians reading this thread.

When you do the Cabot Trail, travel it clockwise so that you are on the inside of the road and not the edge. Pull over at every lookout. They are all spectacular! If you're into history, Louisbourg (NE corner of Cape Breton) is a restored fort. Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia (Halifax area) is always a good stop and Mahone Bay not too much further down the coast. Personally, I like the ruggedness of the coast east of Halifax. Enjoy! I'll be there in a couple of weeks.

Thanks to everyone. I will try each idea, if necessary. Being in early stage Alzheimers can be a challenge in itself.

I set the camera to Manual, f8, and shutter on Bubble. Used a cable release and kept the shutter open for 3-5 seconds.

A few years ago, at a local concert, a song that I had written was performed. The concert DVD is about 1.5 hours long; my song is about 5 minutes long.

I want to extract just the audio of my song and save it to a CD and nothing else.

Any ideas as to how to do this?

I have Win 10.

Thanks.

Dale

Travel downstream (north) for more photo opportunities other than the Falls. If you are also a golfer, there are a lot of excellent courses. The Whirlpool GC is maintained by the horticultural students at the local college (that's a hint as to its beauty). Butterfly observatory. Brock monument. Whirlpool cable car. Jet boat rides. Botanical Gardens. Winery tours.

Faststone Photo Resizer is a free program that I use. Simple to use (it has to be as I am in early Alzheimer's) and fast.

I use an opaque plastic glass (after drinking the beer and washing the glass, of course) placed over my speed light which I point upwards.

A few years ago, I looked into this. Most of my findings, if a formula/price was given, was $1 per square inch. So, an 8 x 10 (80 square inches) would be $80. Knowing my community, I knew that this was way too high. Instead, I set the prices to be in the range of half that formula. In 2 years, I have made enough to now purchase 1/2 a new camera.

I am now considering setting a price (probably $40) for a download so that the purchaser can choose whatever size s/he wants. I have only done that once and the guy was very happy with that. I know that he got a large canvas print made, but he had a local price deal where he lived that I could not match without a loss.

Suggest you get some shots from outside to capture the contrast of everyday life going on while on the other side of the street freedom was lost.

We have an historic Gaol (the old spelling of jail) in our town. I like this piece of advice and will use it some day this summer when the gaol is open to the public.
