No I have not. Never heard of that site. Thanks for the info. How is the weather up there? From St. Charles, near the Shiawassee National wildlife refuge.

I have two Pentax camera bodies that I would prefer to sell together. I have a Pentax K-7 (14mp) & a Pentax K-5 (16mp). I was given a quote by B&H of $550.00 for the two bodies. As you know they would like to make nice profit on these. I would like to put the money in my pocket rather than B&H. I'm not wanting to raise the price substantialy but feel I can do better than what they offered. I can show proof of the quote, made back in December. Both cameras are in great shape! If there is an interest I will post photos. The reason I'm selling is that last spring I purchased the Pentax K5II-s. I just received the new Pentax K-3. I have no need for four bodies. Make a reasonable offer, shipping will have to be covered also if interested.

If you can't sell entire package & start selling seperate items I would be interested in the flash.

I have an example of how Obama"s plan affects me. This is for all you Dems who think it will be a great thing. It will affect you, then we will see how you like it.

I have a family of three. My wife & I both work. She lost her job about 2.5 years ago that paid double what she makes now + had benifits. She works 32 hours max per week but usualy less.

Combined we make $52,000.00 a year. 52 thousand a year is not setting the world on fire. We still have the same monthly bills that we had 3 years ago but now live check to check to make payments. We are up to date on all payments ( house etc).

Now the government is coming into my house & telling me what I can afford. Funny thing, we are running our house ok, but were not 15 trillion in dept! We don't take vacations, we don't eat out. We just pay our bills & try to help our daughter in 1st year of a comunity college some. Somehow they are telling me I have to come up with $500.00 a month for the less expensive plan. Can't get blood out of a turnip so am I supposed to pull the money out of my &*$?

It I don't pay my car insurance & house Ins etc & a few other payments then I can afford abama's plan. So now they will take a dollar amount from me for a not being able to afford THEIR program. Well if I don't have car insurance I can't drive legally which means I can't work & contribute to socity & of course pay tax's so the government can waste 50% of what they take in. So I guess I would be better off letting the government take care of me?

You tell me out there how great the government will be running healthcare.

So my question to the dems, should I quit work & let the government take care of me.

thanks for all the comments. I think once I take the raw image and work on it I should be good to go. I am shooting in RAW+, so the image I'm seeing is the jep when checking out image on camera. I am going to do some set ups around the house, white background with white subject to get a better feel before going back into the field.

The rule of thumb when photographing snow or bright lite areas is to over-expose by 1 or 2 stops. I shoot with Pentax cameras, (k5 & K5IIs). I have both set to the Av mode. While photographying snowy owls with snow background all photos were over-exposed. I have control of under or overexposing photos, had meter set according to cameras metering with no compenstaion one way or the other. If I had set to over expose by one or two stops the photos would have been a complete washout. Am I missing something here, or should I just under-expose by say one stop & take the photos this way? I am shooting in raw, so I can bring back some of the detail, but I would like to know what really is going on here. Thanks for any help from a pro regarding this issue.

I have a brand "NEW" never used Sigma 300, F4 pentax mount for sale. If you check the clasified on this site around a month back you will see the details. I have a K5 but have just pre-ordered the K5IIs! I have a Sigma 300mm, F2.8. I have also purchased the Sigma 150-300 F6.3. The 300, F4 was bought as a backup to the 300, F2.8. I can supply the receipt from B&H for the lens, filters etc. I paid $1200. The lens has never been used, so I'm not giving it away. Asking $900, with filters that were not on the original order. PL filter etc. This is a nice lens, but I just don't need it. I can send in private message the original bill from B&H.

If you are photographing birds of prey & waterfowl I highly recomend full camo for your camera & you if your not using a blind to sit in. Waterfowl in my area are very hard to photograph, so even the blind has to be covered with like plant material found along the river or marsh. They see very well & are tough to get into range if your setup doesn't blend in with surroundings. Birds of prey don't like bright colors, many times just the glare off the lens is enough to spook them. Try photographing a deer at 20 feet with out totaly blending in. They know every twig in there home range. You might stumble on the occasional photo stalking wildlife, but a blind of some sort along with your equipment camoflauged up increase's your odds.

I have been doing the same thing for years! Use the sleeves from old camo hunting cloths for my lens. Pull over lens until you have a nice fit, then cut off excess at each end. Also protects surface of lens, I always leave my on. Tri-pod, I used pipe insulation (Foam) on legs. Pads leggs for carrying & in cold weather keeps fingers from getting cold when handling tripod. Also use old camo hunting cloths to wrap legs over the foam secureing with electrical tape.
