I have the 18-270mm, Di II. Latest edition and it is quite sharp. !6x20 prints are unbelievable. It is not a fixed aperture lens, therefore can not control wide
f Stop on long zoom. For that you would need a f.2.8, consent lens aperture and lot's of MOOLA.

Great lens. Wish it wider, like 15mm, which would give us a 24mm Equivalent. Otherwise excellent all around lens.

It is my understanding that the Lumix FX200 has a CONSTANT f2.8 at all zoom positions. Example: 600mm @f.2.8. If this is true, it is unheard of on any other camera to date. Maybe, I read the specs wrong, but again, if it's true, WOW, and of course, it is very expensive compared to other cameras of this class.

I checked out both cameras and they each have some nice features. But they are both built on a hobby platform. That means they have plastic bodies and cheap lenses. I have seen cameras like this in the stores. They look like their big brothers that cost $1,000 or more but they are really very cheap cameras. They may have fantastic specs when it comes to zoom but you know as well as I do that Canon and Nikon cannot build a quality lens for that much money. It just can't be done. These are cheap knockoffs for people who want to shoot Canon and Nikon on a budget. You would be very sorry if you bought one of these cameras and thought it would perform like the big boys.

Another one to consider. Lumix FX200 w/LEICA 25-600mm lens, what is amazing is that it is a constant f2.8 lens. Imagine 600mm @ f.28. WOW. Price is $600. Only drawback.

They use round, to get round catch light, in eyes. They use white to try and get flawless skin on models.

Sony Rumored to be Working on a Full Frame Mirrorless NEX Camera
Posted: 17 Aug 2012 10:25 AM PDT

Mirrorless cameras are designed to offer DSLR-esque sensors inside smaller form-factor bodies, but so far the only company offering full frame mirrorless cameras has been Leica with its M line of rangefinders. That may soon change. sonyalpharumors is reporting with certainty that Sony is working on putting a full frame sensor in a NEX mirrorless camera.

They write,

I just learned via (many) trusted sources that the third revolution from Sony is about to happen. After the SLT and NEX introductions (first two revolutions) Sony is about to change the photographic and video industry with the third revolutionÂ… a new Full Frame NEX system!

Sporting APS-C-sized sensors, Sony NEX cameras already boast some of the largest sensors found in mirrorless cameras. Leading the charge into full frame would certainly shake up the market and force other manufacturers to either jump aboard or fall behind. BV

They have, called Sony NEX7. What a camera. Read the specs.
Also, read the specs on the new Sony Alpa77, DSLR, another WOW. Looks like Sony is opening up new doors into the next generation. Watch out Canon & Nikon.

Depending on your budget. Sony NEX line is a great way to go. Same size sensor as the SLR (APC). Check out the specs. Fantastic. With a adaptor you can fit any Canon, Nikon, Sigma or Tamron lens, to it. Thinking myself to change over to the Sony Nex7 and forget all my Canon SLR's, and have fun.

The biggest feature here is Constant f2.8, 25-600mm and at a cost of only $600. I do not see anything at present that would beat this. If so, let me know, before I make a mistake. Remember, we are trying to stay with a one camera, one lens, that does most of it all, including HD 1080p video.

Lumix SZ200, is coming out this month. Check it out. Has a LEICA Lens, 25-600mm, f2.8 , constant aperture. HD 1080p Video. Sell your outfit, including lens and you have the best in a small package. Selling for $600.
Let me know what you think? I am planning on doing the same.

Try Auto ISO, Auto White Balance and set to Program Mode. Use TTL Flash for all photos with-in distance range. KISS. Keep it simple. Too much going on in a wedding to be doing something wrong. On Sunsets, meter for the sky, in Manual Mode, set these setting and use flash as fill light. TTL. If your flash is either to hot or too dark (Skin Tones), adjust flash minus or plus.
Have done many weddings this way. No problem. Try it and check it out as you shoot, on the LCD. If you don't like what you see, then do it your way.
Good Luck.

Canon G12 versus Nlkon P7100? Nikon having up to 200 Tele.
Ganon GX1, larger sensor, larger camera, short on the Wide Angle & Zoom.
Drawback on smaller cameras, is lag time between shots, some of the Sony's have 12 frames per second, but lack viewfinder, mostly point & shoot. If you do not mind caring a small look alike SLR, then consider the following:
Nikon P510 was voted better (not much) than the Canon SX40. Great Price.
I too, am looking for the perfect small camera. Closest I own now is the Sony DSC-HX9V. This does everything. Zoom from 24mm-384mm, HDR,
IN CAMERA PANORAMICS, 3-D, HD MOVIES, SCENES, VR.
I added a CARRY SPEED LCD VIEW FINDER LOOP, like HOODMAN Loop at half the price of $39.99 from AMAZON. This snaps to the back of the LCD Screen of the Sony, making it possible to view outdoors in bright sun. This model Sony has been upgraded with model 10, model 20, model 30. The latter has Wi-Fi.
Check them out, you'll love it. Good luck and let me know which you wind up with. BV
