I've been using mine to make several purchases, all without any issues at all. I have another major purchase coming up in the near future.

You're welcome.

The color cast I'm referencing is visible, most notably, in the clouds and the vertical structure of the bridge. The cables have a bit of it, as well, but more difficult to actually discern.

Thanks for looking and your nice comments. Color cast? Are you referring to the sky?

Very strong composition and line work. There seems to be a color cast, though.

Additionally, level the photo, unless the entire landscape leans to the right at this location.

I agree with using OEM batteries. Just on the outside chance that a battery "goes bad" and gets stuck in the camera, or damages the camera, that diminishes the opportunity for push-back from the manufacturer that non-OEM batteries void any cooperation on getting things repaired under warranty, or at all.

The few dollars one saves may cost more in the long run.

I think you get what you pay for. I will only use Nikon batteries for my D5300. Same for my Canon Powershot G-15-- the off brands just don't hold up, so it's Canon batteries for that one, too.

Primarily exposure. Spot metering on the brightest part of the structure, adjust the exposure to place that exposure value in Zone VIII, and handle the rest in processing. This, of course, requires that one knows their camera's response to the additional exposure. That is determined by testing.

What could I have done to make this a better photo?

Interesting approach with your question. If their success is based on clicks but the information is inaccurate, how valuable are their posts?

https://improvephotography.com/10330/what-is-a-kit-lens/

"You may have heard the term “kit lens” before and wondered what, exactly, a kit lens is. Technically, any lens that is bundled with a camera is called a kit lens. However, it is common to hear people say “kit lens” when they actually mean the 18-55mm lens that comes bundled with a camera.

The most common kit lens is the 18-55mm lens, and for a good reason: it is cheaply made, and therefore cheap for you to purchase. Sure – it's better than nothing, and when you're just starting out this is a great way to get into DSLR photography. Bear in mind, however, that you will not typically get fantastic photos with this lens."

I've been shooting since 1971, on and off. I have recently gotten back into film and the darkroom and I'm taking classes to improve my skills there. Over the years I shot most of the genres, but I liked underwater, event and macro the most. Aquatic Landscapes are a favorite. Now I enjoy shooting new locations and discovering what my lens finds most interesting in each place.

I also enjoy going to photo shows and events and do the occasional port review in hopes of getting a show or a magazine layout in the future.

Stuff I shoot:
Medium Format Film: Mamiya, Yashica and Zeiss
Full Frame Digital and Film: Nikon Z, Nikon F, and Whatever's Available.
Crop Format: Fujifilm, Nikon F-Mount
1": Sony
Phone: Google and Apple

My current project is finding old 35mm film cameras and lenses to donate to the new film students at our community darkroom. These kids need a break and we need a new generation of film photogs.

A while ago I mentioned a friend who purchased a Sony RX10IV at my suggestion. She had not taken photos before but wanted to get into photography with a good camera but where she did not need to change lenses. My only suggestion from my own experience was the Sony.

She has now used it a few times but I like one of her first photos taken. She has given me permission to submit this photo so I could get opinions from experts on UHH. I hope you like this but she will accept all honest critiques.

I thought I had submitted this earlier today but don't see it. Hopefully there will only be the one submission.
